The castle played a significant role in defending the region against the Ottoman Empire, and it was a vital military stronghold for the Kingdom of Hungary. 5.00The whole trip was very interesting, and Andrei, our guide, was both informative and helpful. It was clear that he genuinely enjoys his job, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Although it was a long day, I would have preferred the final part of the tour to be scheduled on a separate day. Nevertheless, I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and had a wonderful day overall.

5.00I had a very enjoyable day trip visiting Turda Salt Mine, Corvin Castle, and Alba Iulia Fortress with George as our guide. One of the things I appreciated most was the small group size, which made the day feel relaxed and comfortable. George was friendly, approachable, and happy to answer questions throughout the tour. He shared information about the history of each location without overwhelming the group, which helped provide useful context while still allowing plenty of time to explore independently. The itinerary offered a nice mix of attractions. Turda Salt Mine was fascinating to see, Corvin Castle was impressive, and Alba Iulia Fortress was well worth visiting. The pace of the day was comfortable, and everything ran smoothly. Overall, it was a pleasant day out and a good way to see some of Romania’s most interesting sites. I would happily recommend this tour to others looking for a small-group experience from Cluj.
