The kayaking activity is truly amazing. Our meeting point is at Gate “ABCD” in Marina de Lagos, right in front of the Pizza Hut restaurant. We begin our adventure in the Marina de Lagos. At Gate “ABCD”, we will welcome you and provide all the instructions you need: how to behave on the water, how to steer your kayak, and what to expect during the sightseeing experience. A support boat (catamaran) will accompany us at all times to ensure everyone's comfort and safety. This experience is suitable for all ages, from 4 to 80 years old, as we paddle at a relaxed pace with plenty of stops along the stunning coastline of Lagos. At each stop, we will share interesting details about the surroundings. During the tour, you will learn about the beaches, caves, and the unique rock formations that make this area so special. Highlights include the breathtaking “Cathedral”, the most impressive grotto in the region, as well as the distinctive and beautiful “Kitchen” and “Living Room”, located in the heart of Ponta da Piedade. The entire tour lasts approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes, from departure to return to the harbour. We also provide complimentary bottles of water.

I highly recommend this experience! Especially the AM slot as the sea is calmer and less busy. Is a memorable experience that I truly enjoyed even though it was my first time and I don’t know how to swim but Humberto and the team are truly amazing! I’d definitely do it again in the future. I also loved the fact they took loads of pictures and videos that were then shared on WhatsApp free of charge.

This kayaking tour was easy to book and the communication with Humberto was quick and simple. All of our guides on the boat on this kayaking trip were so thoughtful and funny. We loved the guided kayaking around the beautiful rock formations of Ponta da Piedade—it felt well-organized but never rushed. Our guides were very sweet to the many kids (7) in our group and made it a really magical experience for our of us!

We loved this activity! Even though they warned us the weather conditions weren't the best, the crew was amazing and made us feel safe during the trip. It was quite windy and we were only able to go into one cave because it wasn't safe enough to go on the small ones. But definitely a must do if you want to see ponta da Piedade, It's breathtaking! Humberto, Tiago and Ricardo were awesome, they took pictures for the group and shared them after which it's awesome! Usually other companies want to charge you for the pictures. The boat and the equipment looks very good and safe. The water was pretty cold but we had such a good time that we jumped in and had a fun memory 🥶 Totally recommended!

What a wonderful way to see the beautiful Lagos coast line. Highly recommend this to all. We had done a bike tour earlier in the day on top of the cliffs but this is the only really good way to truly appreciate them!

We had a wonderful time kayaking along the Algarve coast from the Lagos Marina with Lagos Adventures. We booked directly and the owner was so helpful. The tour was fantastic and the guide and staff on the boat were excellent. Would highly recommend. A great morning on the water! 10/10

Great day!! Switched from the afternoon to the morning because of the winds and that was definitely the right decision. Guides were great. Just the right amount of kayaking (1 hour) and enjoyed the boat ride out and back in versus paddling or being towed in with a small boat.

TL;DR: Excellent, passionate guides, very safe even for novices, large boat allows for more time kayaking in cool areas vs just getting there, and for easy return to the marina If you're even remotely considering doing a boat/kayak trip in Lagos, Lagos Adventure is absolutely the way to go! I was initially leaning toward doing a speedboat or larger boat trip rather than kayaking, because I was a little apprehensive about kayaking in the ocean, as I'm basically a novice and not in especially great shape at the moment. But I am SO glad we went the kayak route! You get to see SO much more this way, and paddle inside and through all of these gorgeous sea caves! It was totally safe and I felt completely supported! They give very thorough instructions on your way to the kayak site, the guide is always close, and the large motor boat (I don't know boat names :P) follows along the whole time at a close enough distance to help if anything went wrong. The way Lagos Adventure does their tours, they take everyone out a little farther along the coast in the big boat before starting out in our kayaks, so we started in a much cooler area, and the larger boat follows along and takes you all the way back, so you don't waste any time paddling by less exciting areas or backtracking in your kayak through areas you've already seen. While we were out, we passed plenty of other kayak and boat tours, and it was SO clear how much better our experience was with Lagos Adventure. We were a smaller group so it took less time for us all to gather, and we were always within close earshot of our guide so we didn't miss anything. We also started farther out like I said, so we got to see more with less effort, and since we had the big boat, we had the chance to do a little swimming before we returned (which you would not want to do if you had to get back in your kayak). I highly recommend taking a little dunk unless it's just freezing outside--it added so much to the experience! The guides are incredible--all have a great sense of humor and are clearly very passionate about the area, the history, and the role we play in the region, in terms of respecting nature and honoring the people who relied on the area before it became almost exclusively used by tourists doing tours like this. They were totally available for questions of any kind, even restaurant suggestions, etc. and enthusiastically shared tips about how to get the most out of our time in Lagos. The other cool thing was that the staff in the large boat were taking pictures of us throughout our journey, and surprised us by sharing them in a WhatsApp group (no extra charge or anything!) It was such a cool treat since our pictures were all through the little waterproof bag. Also on that note: for pictures, I recommend getting a waterproof case ahead of time and testing it out taking pictures through it, especially if you can simulate it being covered in salty water...If you want your own pictures, those are the conditions you'll be dealing with, and it's tougher than you think to see through and tell what you're capturing :P Anyway, all the stars, this was an amazing experience, and Lagos Adventures is the best!!

It was so much fun! got to experience so many caves and amazing views. Perfect amount of time at each place and a great tour guide who explained each place we visited with some history involved. Such lovely people and so full of energy. Such good experience for the price and we only had a couple of people which was perfect as we got to experience more things with plenty of time for ourselves and to swim and explore. Best for anyone who loves an adventure and the sea and interesting information and history on portugal
