Follow a curated route through the Vatican Museums, from the Gallery of Maps to the Pio-Clementine Museum, home to the Apollo Belvedere and the Laocoön. In the Sistine Chapel, stand beneath Michelangelo’s Creation of Adam and The Last Judgment. Then enter St Peter’s Basilica via Bernini’s Royal Staircase, once reserved for popes and royalty, while avoiding the Basilica’s external entry system in St Peter’s Square. Inside, admire Michelangelo’s Pietà and Bernini’s Baldachin. After the guided tour, take the elevator partway up the Dome, then climb to the Lantern viewpoint at the top.

2.00The Vatican is amazing and rich in history. Unfortunately our tour guide, Diana, was terrible. We couldn't understand her, and there were no fun facts provided or detailed history through the museum or chapel or basilica. What we could hear/understand we could have gotten from google or a brochure. We spent most of our time trying to listen to other tour guides giving their tours useful information. Would not recommend using this tour group.

The meeting point was also really easy to find for a first timer in Rome. It’s a lot of walking so be sure to wear comfortable shoes. 100% recommended
