  Bus ride is not comfortable and air conditioning is minimal. Sean was a great tour guide and friendly. If ride had been more comfortable would have rated higher.

  Know before you go: this 12+ hour tour is pretty tiring. (We are active and low/mid-60s.) There were 7 couples on the tour. Lots of time is spent on transportation. We were the mini bus’s last pick up at 9:30am. Then a traffic-y drive to the ferry. A few minutes at the ferry terminal building and then, the ferry ride. (They had us booked on the 11:00 ferry.) We got a full 2 hours in Victoria to have lunch and walk around a bit. I expected the waterfront area to be more scenic and fun than it was. There were plenty of shops and restaurants but honestly we were disappointed in Victoria. A few cool historic buildings a nice Chinatown and a major museum but not much else. Butchart Gardens was nice and worth seeing. We saw most of it in less than 90 minutes. Our tour guide was knowledgeable but overly chatty. He seemed to verbalize every thought that came into his head. For example, he went on and on about the failed efforts to build a new tunnel. We would have preferred more quiet time. Considering that this day trip cost $232 per person, I’m not sure it’s worth it. This is more a criticism of the itinerary, not the company. Land and Sea tours did a fine job and delivered what they promised. It’s just that it’s mostly a day of transportation.

  Well worth the trip. Butchart is beyond belief. Victoria is a beautiful city. Don’t miss this opportunity even if you’re in Washington take the ferry from Seattle or Everett directly to Victoria island. Tour driver, Alex, made the trip and tour educational and enjoyable.

  Very good guide... interesting overviews and clearly set expectations regarding travel time. Loved Victoria and learned quite a bit of valuable history. The gardens are awesome. Highly recommended.

  Hello, I’d like to leave a review about my experience to butchart garden. Kasey the gentleman that was tour a guide was friendly but I just wish this experience was not rushed and better service. On hot days the bus would shut off at stops filled with all passenger's and I ended with a heat stroke that day felt sick. I also do want to mention that paying for that prices there should have been last water bottles offered especially during summer on hot days.. I had taken other tour buses and never had anything close this tour experience. My experience with other tour guides was better and also much cheaper so I’m just upset that I had to pay so much for this experience. I’d be happy if a manager could reach out about this experience.

  The town of Victoria and the gardens are both well worth visiting. Victoria has a very nice relaxed vibe and the gardens are simply stunning. As per all these trips from Vancouver there is around 8+ hours of travel and only 4 hours of sightseeing. This was on a day when traffic was good and there were no delays. The bus used to transport us was not very comfortable, with the air con either on and too noisy, or off and the bus very stuffy. The seats are passed their best and not very comfortable. Our guide/driver gave a lot of information out whilst driving, very factual but in my opinion could be less detailed, keeping to the main point. The guide also repeated instructions multiple times in a manner that you would speak to a young child, which was quite off putting. If you don’t mind the extended travel times involved (13.5 hour day for us) for relatively short time in some lovely places, then this may be suitable. If I was in Vancouver again I would book 2 nights (minimum) to really explore this part of the Island.

  Zack was awesome, sharing a lot of history, and pointing out landmarks. He is a good driver too. We had a great time at the Empress Hotel enjoying a scrumptious high tea. The Butchart Gardens are not to be missed. What an amazingly beautiful experience. Highly recommend this tour.
