Go underground on a 1-hour walking history tour through Seattle's original neighborhood. Our experienced guides lead small groups above, and beneath, Pioneer Square to the street level that existed in the 1890s. Explore underground pathways that were built more than 120 years ago, learning details on early Seattle history, why these spaces were built, and how they have been used (and misused) over the years. Marvel at how this former tidal flat has since transformed into one of the 20 largest cities in the United States.

This is was the best tour ever, Dave has a great sense of comedy and I loved the small puns and jokes he dropped, it lightened the mood when dark topics came up, and he stayed respectful to the history while speaking of it, I would definitely go again and it was worth the money. If you love history, i'd highly recommend stopping by.

This tour is a terrific way to learn and visualize the ‘ hilly’ history of Seattle’s beginnings. Patti, our host was very informative and friendly. I enjoyed going beneath three buildings to see how the areas were utilized and built. Highly recommend!

AWESOME tour! Our tour guide David was amazing. Very knowledgeable and animated. Made the history so fun to see. This is a must do tour. Gave us a real understanding of the history of the city. Fantastic! There were 3 of us including my teenage son who enjoyed it also. Was afraid it would be cold underground but it was not. Very comfortable.

Great tour experience. Our guide, Imogen, did a fantastic job of explaining the history of, how’s and why’s of these underground spaces of Seattle We came away with a new appreciation for the history of Seattle and Pioneer Square area. She also kept the tour moving along so it didn’t seem long. Great suggestions for other points of interest and places to stop into.

Great tour, led by Sara/Sarah! She was very knowledgable and funny. The only suggestion I might make is to have some options for longer tours so we can really nerd out about the history. 1 hour seemed a little abbreviated.
