What To Expect
Experience one of the most iconic stretches of the Colorado River as you float through Castle Valley, also known as the Fisher Towers section, just outside Moab. This half-day trip combines incredible red rock scenery with a fun and refreshing time on the water, making it a perfect addition to any Moab visit. All outfitters in Moab operate on the same sections of the Colorado River, sometimes called Fisher Towers, Castle Valley, or the Moab Daily. While the names may vary, this honest review of the most iconic stretch of river is known for its towering red rock formations and wide open views. Meet us at 97 S. Main Street in downtown Moab, and you will head to the river. Once on the water, enjoy a mix of calm floating and splashy rapids as you take in the scenery. This section typically features Class I and II rapids, with occasional Class III rapids during higher water earlier in the season. With over 40 years of experience, our team focuses on delivering a smooth, well-run Colorado River experience. Your guide will handle the navigation while sharing insights into the geology, history, and landscape that make this area so unique. This trip is about 4.5 hours door-to-door.

Fun Half-Day Trip for Grandparents and Grandchildren!

5.00We had a lot of fun from beginning to end! The group included children ages 10 and 13, and 3 adults, the oldest being 71. It was a slow ride down the river because this year the drought caused low water so we had time to enjoy the beautiful scenery and the rapids were very mild. We saw a mama bighorn sheep and her 2 babies, and also several herons and some songbirds. To get to the river and back we had the choice of a van ride or the very exciting and windy open-air enormous shuttle. We were allowed out of the raft to float down the river a few times and at the end we had time to play in the water near a small beach. Our guide was very knowledgeable and answered most of the questions we had along the way so we learned some geology, biology, history, geography, and legalities about the area. It was nice to get to know the other 3 people in our raft and make new friends on the shuttle ride. Water and wetbags were provided and you didn't have to row if you didn't want to or couldn't. If you have any questions, call the office beforehand and they will tell you what you need to know. Yes, we were glad we chose this company.

5.00Everything was good! From the drive in the open bus to the launch area, to the going down the river. Great views, swimming in the river was fun and our tour guide KJ was very knowledgable, had good sense of humor and very protective of the safety of the group, Highly recommend!

5.00We had a great rafting trip with KJ on the Colorado River! He was very knowledgeable and answered all questions about the area and wildlife. He is a hard worker and paddler, making sure we all stayed safe and had a fun time! The river was calm with a few areas of mild rapids. I’d go again!

5.00Great 1/2 day trip down the Colorado River! KJ was our guide and was not only knowledgable, but you can tell he enjoys what he's doing. He was able to answer all of our group's questions and seemed to have plenty of experience with the area and rafting. The owner, Chantze, was also very helpful and personable, answering all of our questions before it was time to board the transport van to the river. I feel like it was well worth the price we'd paid. I went with my family of four, and two other groups of two, so six people plus our guide in the raft. It was a nice calm float, not any major rapids. We saw a desert sheep, as well as plenty of native birds and plants. I would recommend this trip and even book again! Thank you,

5.00Very fun, relaxing ride down the Colorado River. Very good guide, very informative. Nice people, very good value. They provide water for you, although we brought our own. You don’t have to paddle if you don’t want to, but of course you can. Recommend this company completely.
