Gyeongbokgung Palace

It was designated as a historic site in 1963. It was also called Bukgung because it was located in the north of the capital. It was founded according to the construction of the Joseon Dynasty and was initially used as a royal palace, but after being burned down during the Japanese Invasion of Korea in 1592, it remained in ruins for a long time, but was rebuilt during King Gojong's reign in the late Joseon Dynasty and used as a palace for a while.

Insadong

Insa-dong is a valuable space where old but precious traditional objects are exchanged in the city center. In Insa-dong is intertwined like a maze around a large boulevard. In this maze, galleries, traditional craft shops, antique shops, traditional teahouses, traditional restaurants, and cafes are concentrated. In particular, shops in Insa-dong are very popular with young people as well as middle-aged people for their unique styles.

The Blue House

The Blue House is a facility that was used as the office and residence of the President of the Republic of Korea, and the guesthouse is still used in practice. It is located in Cheong Wa Dae-ro 1 (Sejong-ro), Jongno-gu, Seoul. Since liberation, Cheong Wa Dae, from the Rhee Syng-man administration to the Moon Jae - In administration, has the function of the presidential office where the president of the Republic of Korea performs his official duties and the presidential office where he lives after work.

Changgyeonggung Palace

Changgyeonggung Palace was originally the place where King Sejong ascended to the throne in 1418, and the royal palace where King Taejong lived after he ascended to the throne.

Changdeokgung Palace

It was designated as a historic site on January 18, 1963. It was built on the site of the old Yeokgung Palace for the residence of the three surviving queens (Sejo, Deokjong, and Yejong) at the time, and began construction in February 1483 (Seongjong 14th year) and was completed in September 1484 (Sejong 15th year). The houses built at this time were Myeongjeongjeon, Munjeongjeon, Sunyeongjeon, Environmentaljeon, Gyeongchunjeon, Inyangjeon, Tongmyeongjeon, Yanghwadang, Yeohwidang, and Saseonggak. The pavilion was named by Seo Geo-jeong, and the Sangnyangmun Gate of Myeongjeongjeon Hall, which is a power station, was named by Kim Jong-jik.

Deoksugung

Deoksugung Palace was first the site of Prince Wolsan's house, but was used as a temporary residence for his ancestors after the Imjin War and was called Jeongneung-dong Haenggung Palace, but was renamed Gyeongunggung Palace during the reign of Gwanghaegun. Later, in 1907, King Gojong, who abdicated to King Sunjong, stayed here, and it was changed to Deoksugung Palace to pray for King Gojong's longevity. Since King Gojong moved from the Russian legation in 1897 (Gwangmu 1st year), many buildings have been built, including Junghwajeon, Jeonggwanheon, Dondeokjeon, Jeokjodang, Seokeodang, Gyeonghyojeon, Junmyeongjeon, Heummungak, Hamnyeongjeon, and Seokjojeon. This place was the main stage of political turmoil for about 10 years during the late reign of King Gojong, and it is noteworthy that several Western-style buildings were built in the palace. It was designated as a historic site on January 18, 1963

Gyeonghuigung Palace

Gyeonghuigung Palace is a Joseon Dynasty palace in Seoul, and since it was built in the 9th year of Gwanghaegun (1617), the king has lived in the royal family for 10 generations. Located in the west of the five major palaces in Seoul, it was also called Seogwol, and it was also called Saemunan Daegwol, Saemun-dong Daegwol, and Ajugae Daegwol. It was a royal palace in the Joseon Dynasty and was connected to Gyeongungung Palace (Deoksugung Palace) by Honggyo.

Bukchon Hanok Village

It is a hanok preservation district at the foot of Bugaksan Mountain between Gyeongbokgung Palace, Changdeokgung Palace, and Geumwon (Secret Garden). Bukchon is the site of luxurious residences where high-ranking officials, royalty, and nobles gathered and lived, and all of the hanok are tile-roofed houses from the Joseon Dynasty.

Sejong Center

The Sejong Museum is a memorial hall located in Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul, and was completed in November 1970 and opened in October 1973 by the Sejong Memorial Association to preserve the path in memory of the successful virtues and feats of King Sejong of the Joseon Dynasty

Jongmyo Shrine

Jongmyo Shrine, located in Hunjeong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, is a royal shrine where the king and queen of the Joseon Dynasty, and the king, who did not actually ascend to the throne but was named after his death, performed ancestral rites. [Naver Encyclopedia of Knowledge] Jongmyo (Rediscovery of Korean Beauty - Palace and Confucian Architecture, November 30, 2004, Weird Sea) King Taejo Lee Seong-gye (1392-1398), who founded the Joseon Dynasty, ascended the throne at Suchanggung Palace in Kaesong on July 17, 1392, and was more interested in building seedlings and establishing the capital. Because Jongmyo is a facility that symbolizes the roots of the dynasty, and the capital is the foundation of national governance. On July 28, 12 days after King Taejo's inauguration, he placed four hereditary successions, including King Mok, Ikgwang, Dowong, and Hwanwang, respectively, and sent his subjects to Hanyang in August to repair this palace in Nanjing during the Goryeo Dynasty.

Yeoju-si

Yeongneung is the joint tomb of King Sejong, the fourth king of Joseon, and Queen Soheon. It was the first royal tomb in Joseon to have different chambers on one peak, and the tomb layout was made according to the rules of state honor, which became the basis for the layout of royal tombs in Joseon.
