Highlight of the tour was the Taj, everyone should see this at least once. Christmas day in Udaipur was a welcome break from the norm. Stay close to the lakes. Palaces are interesting but start to become a bit samey. Well organised on our behalf by our Delhi based organisers who offered continuous contact and support, but a few pointers; It's been cold overnight in most of the destinations. The distances are long, make sure the transport is suitable for 9 hours in a car, we should have taken the upgrade. The chances of seeing a tiger are about 1 in 15 trips in Ranthambore in December. Better odds when it's hot. Stay in town in Jaipur. Indian 4/5 star hotels are generally perfectly acceptable.
