We also booked for 26th June and managed about 3 decent rides The volume of people was crazy, staff looked absolutely shattered and hot The queues were ridiculous between 80 -120 minutes We did chose to pay for a ride on fast track and literally as we approached the ride it closed Also the only ride everyone was probably desperate to go on was the rapids and that was closed all day Even waited 20 minutes to queue to fill my water bottle up Won't be going again anytime soon Spoilt the day for us really It was on my twin boys birthday too so felt sorry for them as they were really looking forward to it and also an inset day and silly me I didn't think it would be that bad but I was soo wrong

We were really looking forward to our Alton Towers stay but unfortunately we just left feeling disappointed. Firstly, our Stargazing Pod was dusty and very hot, we couldn’t leave the door open as we were opposite the play area and had kids constantly coming up to the door and looking in. The children outside our pod were having a water balloon fight at half 8 at night making it very difficult to get my young children to sleep. I ended up paying for an upgrade to a room in the hotel. The next day we went into the theme park. My children were so disappointed as we only managed to get onto two CBeebie land rides. The queues were very long and some attractions were closed. We waited 25 minutes in 32 degree heat to finally get to the octonauts rollercoaster station to be told it had broken down and wouldn’t be in operation again. This was a theme for the day. I queued for 45 minutes for Wickerman just to be told it had broken down and to come back later. I went on Thirteen and ended up stuck on the ride as it had broken down. I ended up buying the silver fast pass which I only managed to use 3 times due to rides being unavailable. Even with a fast pass, I ended up waiting 30 minutes for Nemisis Reborn as fast pass holders just weren’t being let through. The fast pass was a massive waste of money as I didn’t get proper use out of it. Another issue was the refill stations. No stations had ice and the drink refills weren’t even cold. £18 for a day of warm fizzy drinks. I love Alton Towers but this trip was a massive waste of money which is so unfortunate as my kids were so excited and we had saved up for such a long time.

Enjoyable experience, the park is always clean when we visit and taking my son to Cbeebies land for the first time it is great they have smaller roller coasters for children of his age to enjoy.

Visited June 26-28th as a family and we had a great time, the rides/experiences had a small amount of heatwave disruption but generally the staff were working hard to keep the place going despite the extreme heat, the food options however are expensive and poor quality, its very expensive for basics which are not great, the best thing about the food choices is the fresh donuts unless u take time out to visit the pizza/pasta place although this visit we didnt make it as the queue was massive to secure a table! Why cant you have a place to get fresh sandwiches and snacks etc like a tesco meal deal? Good value and ease as folk can maybe get healthy options as well as the fried foods and processed snacks everywhere! We have Merlin passes so came in a few days which was really good and plan to visit again but will bring in our own food! The main exception to this is the roller coaster restaurant which was good fun and the burgers were really tasty although surely everyone in there cannot be celebrating a birthday the distruption to service is every 5 mins while they play happy birthday n crowd the table, keep the good rides coming and where possible the queues down!

We visited 27th June for the day. Having been twice last year and it being extremely hot we went prepared with frozen drinks, food, fans and appropriate clothing. Partner managed to get 9 rides in whilst we got 5. Most at the end of the day with under 10 min queues. The app is great for queue information. Conga River didn't open all day. Thirteen and Rita opened around lunch time. Not many ride closures considering the heat. The queue for thirteen was just horrendous. We got to the front and waited over 15 mins as they kept letting single riders and passes through. The single rider queue was full of groups and families, I guess this is a new way of beating the system? This ment the original wait time of 45 mins took us well over the 1hr mark. I understand this isn't a long wait compared to other times we've waited, just slightly annoying being held back when at the front. I think we chose the perfect day as no ride went over 55min wait most of the day. We will however be avoiding the park on school days at the moment until school season is finished. Most schools are doing trips (including my daughters) so the park will be overcrowded most days for the next 3 weeks.

Went Friday 26 June Temperate absolutely crazy = Not AT fault The park being absolutely packed = Not AT fault Constant ride closures /2 hour queues, only 3 rides done, opening time not extended beyond 5 as a result and no 'tickers for another day' offered as a result Unless you can get on tues/weds from mid September i really wouldn't bother

Okay so the rides are amazing and if they weren't it would of been lower than 2 but genuinely rides shut down whilst I was in the queue TWICE in a row. (On oblivion and nemesis) there aren't enough signs and some rides need a repaint but overall great visit.

Like everyone who visited on 26th June, we had a horrendous experience. Made three rides all day due to the ridiculous number of people in the park. 2.5 hours queuing for one ride is totally unacceptable.
