Ayutthaya Historical Park
Explore the UNESCO-listed remains of Ayutthaya, the former royal capital of Siam. Walk among ancient temples, brick towers and palace ruins while learning how the city developed into a prosperous centre of religion, diplomacy and international trade. Rather than simply viewing old structures, your guide will help you understand how people lived here, how the kingdom gained its influence and what led to the city’s eventual fall.
Wat Mahathat
See Ayutthaya’s most recognisable image: a serene Buddha head held naturally within the roots of a growing tree. Continue through the temple ruins to discover why Wat Mahathat once stood at the spiritual centre of the capital. Explore its weathered Buddha images, brick towers and monastery remains, with time to appreciate the details and take photographs without feeling rushed.

5.00Visiting the ruins of Ayutthaya is an experience that stays with you. We spent the day exploring the ancient temples, and the sheer scale of the history there is breathtaking. The contrast between the 'Lost Empire' feel of the ruins and the awe-inspiring size of the Giant Buddha at Ang Thong was perfectly balanced. Everything was handled privately, so we never felt like we were part of a rush we just soaked in the atmosphere. The private transport made the long day feel incredibly easy and comfortable.

5.00I did this tour solo. It's definitely the easiest way to see these temples without stressing about taxis. The car ride was smooth and comfortable. My guide was very friendly and looked after me well, keeping me stocked with cold water. The giant Buddha is amazing to see in person. Overall, a solid day trip.

5.00Such a memorable experience. Our guide was so friendly and felt more like a local friend showing us around. They even customized the day a bit for us, stopping by a lovely local riverside spot for a quick coffee break. The private car was spotless, and the driver was very professional. Standing in front of the giant Buddha in Ang Thong was definitely the highlight of our trip so far.
