The tour walked us through beautiful parts of Bruges, parts of which are not accessible by car. Our guide was knowledgeable of the history and interesting facts about the city. Best of all, her voice was clear and easy to understand (not always the case on city tours). The city is filled with beautiful parks, historic buildings, and canals. We had over an hour to visit shops and restaurants in town center.

A really great day, we were picked up from the ship on time and dropped back in time. We had a great guide who was very informative and entertaining. There is quite an amount of walking involved in the tour and the day was hot (30 degrees). Bring water and enjoy.

We traveled with both older family members and teenagers, so comfort and pacing were important. This excursion worked well for all ages. The canal cruise allowed everyone to sit and enjoy the scenery without much walking, which was helpful. The narration during the boat ride added context without being too detailed. Afterward, we explored the city in smaller groups at our own pace. The combination of sitting time and walking time made the day manageable for everyone.

Zero complaints. Great organization, beautiful sights from the canal boat, and plenty of time to get back to the ship before all-aboard. Don't hesitate to book this one!

There were things that went very well, but also very poorly during this tour. Our cruise ship was delayed in port by approximately 1 hour. Thankfully the tour company was aware and since the entire tour was cruisers, they waited for us and we started the way into Brugge 45 minutes after debarkation started on the ship. The 30 minute ride from the port to the city was nice. When we got off the buses, we had to split into groups of less than 20 based on city tourism rules. This was an unorganized mess as the 2 buses full of people were trying to split off and get the whisper devices all at the same time. Maybe try numbering people off during the bus ride instead of leaving 100+ people to get into appropriate groups? The local guides were friendly and informative. However, the afternoon is where things were not great. We were told after the canal ride we would only have a little over 1 hour for free time based on the delayed start. So several of us opted to not do the canal cruise as we wanted those extra 30 minutes to explore Brugge. We had been told many times meetup time was 2:30pm at the clock tower. Once it was time, we all headed that way….just to be told “oh just kidding, we can stay in the city until 3:30pm now.” So the people that took the canal ride were upset that they rushed and shopped/explored for 60 minutes and those of us who didn’t take the canal cruise could have, because extra on our own time was given AFTER we met up the bell tower. But not until everyone had met up with the intention of going back the the port! Many people were frustrated; some people took taxis back to Zeebrugge because they didn’t want to deal with the tour company anymore and wait around for another hour. Those of us who missed the canal cruise due to poor planning were also upset. That being said, the actual city of Brugge was great. Many places to shop, try Belgian waffles and chocolate, and many restaurants to stop for lunch if you have time. This is primarily a walking tour, so wear good walking shoes. The walk back to the buses at the end of the day is approximately 30 minutes on cobblestone and some inclines, so just be prepared.

The guide gave us about an hour of independent time after the canal cruise. We followed their recommendation and went to a tiny local chocolatier away from the main square. The pralines were incredible! Such a fun, authentic day.

Beatrice came, spoke and conquered. We so enjoyed our tour and the knowledge that was imparted to us in such an enthusiastic and pleasant way. It was more like walking with a friend who happened to know everything about the city/country, its architecture, history and the way of life. We came away with a great appreciation of the Fins, their country and their passion for design and architecture. We loved it from the start to the finish. Thank you Beatrice for a great experience.

As a solo traveler, I appreciated how easy this excursion was to join and follow. The logistics from Zeebrugge were handled well, and I didn’t have to think about transport or directions. The canal cruise was a quiet highlight. It gave a peaceful view of Bruges that felt almost cinematic at times. Sitting back and watching the city pass by from the water was very relaxing. After the boat ride, I spent time walking through the streets independently. The city felt safe and welcoming, and I enjoyed being able to explore at my own pace without pressure.
