On our Ebikes we will pedal to discover the wonders of one of the oldest cities in Italy. A panoramic tour that offers pleasure and fun without too much effort!
We will go around the hills of Bergamo outside the Old Town, passing through the Allegrezza forest and the Benaglia hill, up to the Val d'Astino with its monastery and then visit the Sanctuary of the Madonna di Sombreno, located on the extreme western spur of the Bergamo Hills.
At the foot of the Hills it will be possible to visit the Sanctuary of the Madonna della Castagna and the Parco dei Colli up to the inside of the city. Here we will visit the Piazza Vecchia, the Duomo, Santa Maria Maggiore and the Lavatoio Antico. We will conclude the excursion passing by the Rocca and the Castle of San Virgilio, the last outpost guarding Bergamo and its territory.
We will begin with a brief introduction on how the excursion will take place and then we will start pedaling in complete safety.

What To Expect
Infopoint Bergamo Citta Alta
Bergamo Alta is the oldest part of the city, as well as the most interesting from a tourist point of view. The nucleus of Città Alta, as we call it Bergamo, has medieval origins. The Venetian walls and the Rocca, on the other hand, are later.
Parco dei Colli di Bergamo
the Colli di Bergamo park is a protected natural area of Lombardy, closed between the Brembo and Serio rivers. It is overlooked by the Canto Alto mountain and reaches the hills of the city of Bergamo

5.00We had a wonderful morning with Franco. The ebikes were great, we covered a large area with a lot of climbing up hills so they made it possible. The scenery was beautiful and we had some lovely stops along the way. Franco was very considerate and checked in with us regularly as well as giving us insights into the area as we went along. Would highly recommend this tour and Franco

5.00Great morning tour with Franco Met us at our hotel in the morning. A quick familiarisation with the bikes and then we were off. We chose the Greenway garden route rather than the city as it was extremely hot and we preferred the countryside. The views were fantastic and Franco stocked at an old monastery which we had a look around and the lady at the monastery gave us a brief history and a show round which was great. We then went through some forests with plenty of water stops and with some great scenery. One of the stops we passed in Orchard of wild cherries which we picked an eight best cherries we've ever had. Finished the tour through the city ending it back at our hotel we would highly recommend Franco for anyone wanting to explore the area around Bergamo five stars from us. 5.00We booked a bike ride to explore the spacious surroundings of Bergamo. The e-bike was delivered to the door of our hotel. Our guide sensed our wishes. We cycled at a leisurely pace, past beautiful spots and through the beautiful nature around Bergamo. The guide also took pictures. We were of course also very lucky with the weather.

5.00A e-bike is the perfect way to see Bergamo’s beautiful Citta Alta and the surrounding countryside. Our guide Marco arrived early, had a great route planned out and was super friendly. This was a highlight of our trip.

5.00Fun, sporty trip in a beautiful environment. You cycle in the hills around Bergamo and cycle on both tarmac forest paths and on the regular road. Despite the fact that it was very hot, this was a wonderful activity due to the wind you catch, The trip was about 30 km. The guide, Franco, was very nice and knew the area like the back of his hand. We were a small group (2 couples), which was very cozy.

5.00An excellent way to see outside the Citta Alta and surrounding countryside. Franco, our tour guide, was very good with knowledge of Bergamo and the region. He did give us suggestions for dining. Would only do this on an ebike- lots of up and down, but easily done on the ebike. Equipment was new.

5.00This tour was magic. History, mountain air, bird song! Franco will open Bergamo to you by stopping by the best vistas, pointing out the best gelato and restaurants, explaining the history of key sites, and so much more! We even explored a monastery with a crypt and frescoes from the 12-16th centuries that no tourists know about. See Northern Italy through the eyes of a local. Also, I never rode an electric bike before. It was super easy to learn. Franco explained everything clearly and kept an eye on me through the entire tour. I felt safe and well tended to. This tour trumped all others I have ever had. It was all so beautiful I felt as if I were in a movie.
