Tvindefossen
Tvindefossen is a waterfall near Voss on the road to Flåm. The many-stranded 110 meters high waterfall is formed by a small stream, the Kroelvi, tumbling over a receding cliff. It is famous for its beauty and many stop here to admire it. In the late 1990s the water at Tvindefossen acquired a reputation for rejuvenation and revival of sexual potency that made it one of the most important natural tourist attractions in western Norway, with as many as 200,000 people a year from the U.S., Japan and Russia visiting and filling containers with the water. At one point it was Norway's ninth most visited natural attraction, with 272,000 visitors.
Stalheimskleiva
The small village of Stalheim lies along the highway in the northeastern part of the Voss municipality. The village sits at a high point in the inner part of the Nærøydal valley which leads northeastwards towards the Nærøyfjorden. The highway runs through a series of tunnels to descend into the valley. The Stalheimsfossen waterfall is the most notable sight in the area and the amazing view from Stalheim hotel is well-known from several paintings.

The Flam train experience was wonderful, and loved the fjord cruise as well! We were fortunate to have some sunny weather on the fjord. The Viking Village was interesting as well. The view of the surrounding waterfalls and the waterfall stops were fantastic. A 5 out of 5 stars for our guide, Maria, and our bus driver as well!

WE knew this was going to be a long day but did not realize how much of it would be spent on a bus. The first 2 hours was a bus ride to catch a train (20 minute train ride) to immediately catch another train (the Flam Railroad train) which approximately 70% of that 1 hour +/- ride seemed to be through tunnels. The scenery we were able to see when out of the tunnels was beautiful but just too many tunnels. Then onto the fjord boat ride which was beaufiful but it did rain almost the entire time we were on the fjord. Then the Viking Village tour which was interesting but still in the pouring rain. Then the 2 hour bus ride back to Bergen. Our guide Maria was good and Michael the bus driver was nice.. However, I think the tour was too expensive for the amount of time on the bus. No food, snacks, or drinks offered with the tour until the bus ride coming back, a small bottle of water was offered.

From fjord lovers to railway enthusiasts and those eager to learn more about Norway – this trip will satisfy everyone! Although it may seem expensive at first glance, the high quality of the whole experience certainly matches the price. Our lovely guide Tracey and her colleague Linda (an excellent driver!!) work amazingly well as a team. They put together a rich itinerary, everything was just 'spot on' and carefully thought out – timing, catering for people’s needs (e.g. toilets, choice of boat, pace of activities), providing masses of interesting information, facts, stories… It was a truly fantastic experience, thank you both!

We started the tour in the rain, and it joined us regularly throughout the day, but it allowed us to see magnificent waterfalls, both small and large, along the entire route by bus, train, and boat. Our amazing guide Tracy provided us with all the information for the smooth running of the day, as well as insights about the landscapes and local life. We are visually delighted while learning about the region. In short, an unforgettable experience, enhanced by the rain!

I have been on this trip twice in 2025 and 2026! By far the best tour you can’t take to get more bang for your buck. Michael was our tour guide in 2025 and Trish( I think) for 2026 and let me tell you they are the best.
