The trip was amazing! Tristan did a great job showing off the different sites and explaining the scenes. Being able to pose in certain spots with the source book proved to be amazing. Trip overall was worth it, had a blast seeing Isengard! Thanks for the amazing time.

Dan was so knowledgeable about the Lord of the rings movies, actors, filming locations, NZ and other movies that have been filmed around the area. It was a laid back but fun tour, would definitely recommend.

Fun, very scenic and beautiful, saw the movies over 20 years ago and don’t remember much, but still very fun

Great tour, especially for those who are LOTR fans. Our guide was definitely knowledgeable and passionate about LOTR, providing in-depth explanation at every filming place we stopped at, as well as other films that were filmed or even recently filmed in Paradise. He was also knowledgeable of the history in the surrounding areas and the wild life. We had a brief stop for snacks and tea by the lake in Glenorchy. Unfortunately, the weather was not optimal as the clouds and fog stuck around the entirety of the trip, making it hard to see the beautiful mountains and scenery. Nonetheless, our guide made up for it with cosplay photo opportunities in the forest as well as exclusive access to a filming station that gave a great view of Isengard. Overall, definitely a wortwhile experience.

A great trip getting to see many of the places LOTR was filmed in. Amy, our guide, was very friendly and informative throughout the entire day. We had a nice small group, so that made it even better. Getting to go to a location only Pure Glenorchy is allowed to go to is an added bonus. Would recommend as a great way to spend half a day from Queenstown.

This tour is everything a LOTR fan could want. Dan our driver and tour guide was very knowledgeable and showed us amazing location spots and facts about the movies, characters and books, including The Silmarillion, if that tickles your fancy. The road trip to Glenorchy is stunning and there are plenty of stops along the way for photos and videos and commentary about movie location spots. Costume dress ups was a highlight. Loved our day on this tour, would definitely do again and highly recommend it. Special thanks to Dan for being a wonderful, gracious host.
