I am Catia your host , together we will go to discover Venetian traditional food through my family recipes and its history . We will visit our historical market , one of the oldest in Europe , I will tell you the history of the Market and you will see the colourful stalls full of fruits and vegetables end spices. After that we will go to my house and we will make Pasta from scratch...the typical one " Bigoli" made with an ancient press ( that kind of press was invented in the 1600 and it is called "Bigolaro") ...you will well come with our Cicchetti , a venetian appetizer , and at the end you will make our well-known dessert invented in my region...Tiramisù!

What To Expect
We will make fresh Pasta from scratch. Regional pasta called Bigoli It is made with a hand press and than Ravioli with a seasonal filling and Tiramisù. e will visit the anciest coverd Market in Europe In Padova "Sotto il Salon " Under the Great Hall . This is the ground floor of the Palazzo della Ragione ( Justice Palace ) in the heart of Padova built in the Middle Ages which hosts a variety of stores where you can find typical local products . We will also wander to the open Market with its different stalls of fruits and vegetable .

5.00Catia is an amazing cook and teacher. I went to her with my two daughter and we had a great experience. We were able to learn many recipes. She allows you to make everything yourself. Every plate was incredible. There was enough variety. She also showed us her garden and let us pick up some of the vegetables for our own food. Catia is an amazing person. She goes above and beyond. We totally recommend going to her. You won’t regret it!

5.00An absolutely wonderful experience! Catia is extremely friendly, welcoming, and excited to share her recipes and expertise. She is a very patient teacher and the food is excellent. We made two pastas and a dessert, while Catia had prepared some appetizers that we also cooked (and ate paired with a local Cab Franc). She emphasizes homegrown/local products and uses seasonal recipes. We had a very pleasant walk around the city center to pick up some supplies and Catia shared history on the landmarks, best places to eat & drink, etc. if I were back in the city, I would not hesitate to sign up again!

5.00Highly recommend this for solo travelers! Catia is incredibly knowledgable about the history of Padua and the local foods that make up the region. Furthermore, the cooking class was so much fun! Catia is an amazing host and a great teacher when it comes to making pasta from scratch. I would only recommend her to anyone who asks. This goes without saying but the food was absolutely amazing!

5.00I don’t have enough words to describe how wonderful our cooking experience was today. We began by walking through the piazza, where Catia gave us a brief but lovely overview of Padova’s history while selecting fresh local produce for our meal. She then drove us to her home, which was absolutely charming, warm, and inviting. We learned how to make different types of pasta from scratch, along with tiramisu. While the dough was resting, we enjoyed wine and delicious homemade appetizers. What we thought would be a simple cooking class turned into an incredible five-course meal. The entire experience felt so personal and genuine, almost as if we were family being welcomed into her home to cook and share a meal together. Thank you, Catia, for making our visit to Padova such a memorable and unforgettable experience!

5.00This was the by far the best cooking class of my entire life. Catia was the most amicable and passionate instructor. It felt like a family member was teaching me! She was so inviting and made sure that we had everything we needed to feel at home (including the wine refills). 100/10 would recommend for anyone looking for a memorable experience in Padova!

5.00We had an amazing time with Catia learning about Padova and Italian cuisine. Catia is very welcoming and a great and patient teacher. The experience started with a lovely tour of the market and some selected places of the city centre. At Catia´s home we were served a tasty aperitivo and had great fun learning how to make several types of pasta and tiramisu. Catia is deeply passionate about food and tailors the experience with seasonal dishes. Highly recommended this experience.

We got to make some very yummy dishes with locally sourced ingredients to make seasonal dishes! Catia is very warm and welcoming we definitely recommend this experience!

5.00This was one of the best ever holiday experiences that we have done. Catia is a fantastic host. She met us at the market and explained all the various different fruit and vegetables available. She then walked us around the central area. Her knowledge of and passion for her city was incredible. It was like going on a private walking tour. We then went to her house where she thought us how to make pasta of different kinds, fillings, starters/ finger food and Tiramasu. She was so patient explaining everything and getting us involved with it all. We then got to eat what we made along with a few glasses of wine. This is an absolute "must do" if you are visiting Padua. You won't find better than Catia in terms of her welcome, teaching and knowledge of the area and her cooking. We would highly recommend booking with her.
