Magnificent museum. Prague is a city rich in architecture, and its museum is no exception. It is a truly splendid building, worthy of a palace. The different rooms take us through the history of the country, civilization, the history of humanity, and its evolution over the centuries, as well as the fauna and flora. Climbing up to the dome offers us an exceptional view of the city.

A place that has taken the concept of a museum to another level. Explore without prejudice and witness history. It appeals to all kinds of people. The stones section is great.

Always like to visit at least one museum in a country to learn about their history, people, and whatever else they hold dear. This was a great option for Czech and Prague. Huge museum that you could easily spend a few hours or many more hours. Was not particularly crowded on a late Saturday morning. We bought tickets online (had to join the museum), scanned them near the box office and got right in.

It has tons of rooms and pieces, from rocks to biology, the topics are varied. Is perfect for children and absolutely enjoyable for everyone.

Please don't just admire the building from the outside. Lots more to see inside. Tickets are available on site but can book ahead. Mission Impossible was film here. There is plenty see inside from fossils, story of evolution to historical excavations to Woolly mammoth statue.

We bought tickets in advance, I would recommend it, because you still queue and wait (2 lines, 1 with tickets, 1 without -> with goes faster). Backpacks, jackets can be dropped off for free below. Everything from the Czech Republic to the Stone Age is there. There is also a café there but we were not there, so I cannot say anything about the prices. The architecture and paintings are really beautiful. My highlight were the animal exhibitions (not alive, of course). mammoth, marine life, insects, etc. You definitely need a lot of time to really see everything, we have 3 hours. Needed and did not read everything that was written everywhere. A big minus was the security at the front of the entrance, highly unfriendly and aggressive/annoyed!

Another must-see in the capital. Tickets are affordable, however I recommend coming a bit early and showing up while the weather is nice since both queues can be extremely long. You should set aside 3/4 hours for the tour.

Myself and my partner very much enjoyed a day at the museum during our city break in Prague. There are so many interesting collections and we lost track of time as we travelled around. So much thought and care has been taken to present each collection in an entertaining and accessible way. There was so much to enjoy and think about. We hope to return to Prague and would also return to the museum as I am sure there was more to see.

Very large and organized museum, on the first floors there are minerals, natural stones, historical weapons, books etc. .. while on the top floor, where you can access only by elevator, there are relics of the Second World War with a large 360 cinema room where it shows footage of the war.

Wow, the older building is absolutely amazing and the building alone is worth a visit. The displays are good and walk through the old part of this two building museum makes it all worth while.
