• Very Satisfying Experience!

  I had booked the visit to Prambanan temple and Ramayana ballet with Viator, their partners being "borobudursunrise.com" One day after the booking I received a mail saying all the seats for Ramayana ballet were sold out. They, however, assured that the weather permitting, they will assuredly get a ticket for the ballet. I had kept my fingers crossed. Fortunately the weather turned out to be clear on the day of the scheduled visit. Their driver - Bima - arrived at three hotel before the scheduled time and took us to the venue. He organized the visit to Prambanan temple very efficiently and smoothly. He took us to the venue of ballet. I saw that there was a huge crowd for buying on-the-spot tickets. Bima organized the buying so smoothly that I didn't even know when he bought them. He offered to accommodate us in his air-conditioned vehicle till the start of the show. When they gates opened, he came with us till the theatre gate and explained everything to the staff, made sure that we felt comfortable, and then left to wait outside for us. He also arranged to take our photographs with brightly lit Prambanan temple in the background. Ballet was really grand, especially, Lanka Dahan scene. All thanks to Bima, the great, pleasant guy.

  Nana was an amazing driver. He was prompt, friendly and offered excellent service. It was a long day as we visited many, many sites but Nana patiently took us to all of them and got us there and back safely. Highly recommend!

  Well coordinated activity. Our driver Eko contacted us via WhatsApp a day before the activity to confirm pick-up timing. He was punctual, speaks good English, and drove safely especially when there was a downpour on the way back to the hotel. Our private guide Jono (selected by tour agency) is an excellent storyteller and we thoroughly enjoyed his tour of Prambanan and the three Buddhist temples. Eko picked us from Candi Sewu to the dinner/ performance venue by car, so we need not walk back to the Prambanan entrance. Buffet dinner had a good spread with reserved table facing an illuminated Prambanan, and the outdoor performance was enchanting. We could easily follow the plot after Jono's explanation of the Ramayana bas-reliefs in Prambanan, and it was useful learning the legend in its entirety as the ballet focused only on core chapters.

  Our driver was very prompt and moved us between activities without a glitch. Only suggestion is to let people know when the temple tour is over, it is a long walk back to meeting point and it was honestly a bit unclear. We thought about staying at the temple for sunset but would have immensely late getting back to the car. The buffet dinner was fine for my husband, I liked the soup. But the show is the climax and we had front row seats, no one blocking our photos. It was a bit expensive but I would still recommend it! Not for less than teenagers.

  Eko was a very good and friendly driver guide. Also enjoyed the temple guide. Good choice of restaurant, and of course the ballet was spectacular and Eko for securing perfect seats for us

  Truly an incredible experience! The package consists of private vehicle transportation to & from Prambanan Temple, a private tour of the temple, dinner and the Ramayana ballet. As noted in my Borobudur sunrise review, booking directly with the operator was a seamless process and the driver allocated to me, Eko, is personable, fluent in English and always eager to help. He seemed to have handpicked the local guide Jono, who obviously knows his Ramayana and took great pains to explain the storyline as illustrated in the beautiful stone carvings sorrounding the Shiva temple. Dinner was at a reserved table overlooking the illuminated temple complex. For the Ramayana ballet, I had a reserved seat with a great view of the stage and temple backdrop. The performance was outstanding. I couldn’t have asked for more.

  Our driver communicated well before the tour, was a very safe driver, and gave clear instructions when he wasn’t with us. Another guide took us thru Prambanan, then handed us back to Pras. Our buffet dinner was well-presented and tasty. Pras walked us to the theatre for the ballet and was just outside, easy to locate, when the ballet was over. A very enjoyable evening.

  Fucjar was an excellent driver and guide. The entire experience was excellent - from pick-up to drop-off. Fucjar had prepared umbrellas and raincoats for us which was great because we ended up having significant rainfall while we were trying to visit the smaller temples. My husband and I were stuck under a sign, hoping for the rain to pass. Fucjar moved the car as close as he could to the pick-up area, then shared his location via WhatsApp so we knew how to get out. He even offered to give my husband his slides to wear because my husband's shoes were soaking wet! The rain let up during dinner, and we had a lovely meal at the buffet restaurant before the show. Our seats for the ballet were excellent. It was shorter than we expected but that may be because it was indoors. We really enjoyed our evening. We also appreciated having good conversation with Fucjar, as well as how well he took care of us - we felt spoiled. LOL.   Great experience overall - I was happy I booked it Highlights : Eko ( the driver ) couldn’t have been more helpful from start to finish and the Ballet was absolutely fantastic - the artistry and skill of the performers was wonderful Negatives : The guide was with me at Prambunan for literally 60 minutes only - it was very rapid - it would have been better if it had been 2 hours so we could have seen the three Buddhist temples there aswell and done it all at a slightly more relaxed pace Also dinner wasn’t great - lukewarm buffet of very average quality 🫣
