A middle-aged white man is RACIST. He has black-and-white hair, with some of his hair already turning gray. He’s probably a bit over 1.7 meters tall, with that typical mouthy, sarcastic personality of someone who likes to mock and tease people. He made fun of my English and imitated my accent, thinking that using my language or copying the way I speak would somehow bring us closer. In reality, it was just discrimination disguised as “humor.” Making fun of someone’s language like that says a lot about the kind of person he is. He seems like the type of person who needs to put others down to feel superior. He probably has a difficult relationship with his own family and takes his frustrations out by bullying coworkers and making jokes at other passengers’ expense. I wouldn’t be surprised if he regularly targets people around him. What’s even worse is that he also mocked other white passengers. He even asked someone if they had stopped exercising their calves recently, comparing their legs to “chicken legs.” He was genuinely one of the most unpleasant people I’ve ever encountered. Using “you just don’t understand humor” as an excuse to cover up his own lack of real humor is disgusting. Don’t worry — I wouldn’t be surprised if his coworkers have plenty to say about him behind his back.
