Nizwa Souq

Driving from Muscat to Nizwa takes approximately 2 hours, offering a scenic journey through Omani landscapes and mountain views. Upon arrival, you will enjoy around 1 hour to explore the lively Nizwa Souq, one of the oldest and most traditional markets in Oman. Here you can browse and shop for authentic Omani treasures such as dates, halwa (traditional sweet), spices, souvenirs, handmade crafts, and fine silver and gold jewellery.

Nizwa Fort Oman

You will then visit the iconic Nizwa Fort, one of Oman’s most impressive historical landmarks. Built in the 17th century, the fort is famous for its massive circular tower, which is the largest of its kind in Oman. From the top, you can enjoy panoramic views of the old city, the surrounding palm plantations, and the Hajar Mountains. Inside, you will discover traditional defensive structures, hidden passageways, cannons, and exhibits that showcase Oman’s rich history and heritage.
