First stop at Pena Park and see the diversity of plants and trees line the beautiful trails. Continue to Pena National Palace, the most famous of Sintra’s monuments, located at the top of Sintra Mountain. Enjoy this 19th-century Romanticist castle that looks and feels like a fairy tale. Admire its eclectic Neo-Manueline, Neo-Gothic and Neo-Renaissance styles as you head inside. Observe the extravagant bedrooms that used to serve as a summer residence for the royal family

The UNESCO World Heritage Site of Sintra. Spend some free time to have lunch or discover the town’s forested palaces like Sintra National Palace, a medieval royal palace occupied from the 15th to 19th centuries (own expense). Benny was our tour guide. Excellent! Very professional and informative. He was extremely polite. Very careful driver. I would book another tour next visit if I could be assured Benny was our guide.

My husband and I took the Sintra day trip tour with Benny as our guide. We 100% lucked out with both the weather and having Benny as our guide. He was so engaging, informative, and willing to answer all of our questions. We tried out each of his recommendations at each spot and all were fabulous. This was our 2nd tour with Inside Lisbon (first was food and wine) and both were incredible! The day trip is a must if you want a way to see Sintra and the Pena Castle, especially because it’s near impossible to see on your own!

Antonio, our guide, was very friendly and kind; a very nice tour of the Pena Palace in Sintra and Cascais. Small group of 8, and that’s just right. Too many people in Sintra, but the discovery is worth it; a fairy-tale palace. Cascais, cliffs and town are also worth the detour. Ideal for getting out of Lisbon and seeing something else. Almost disappointed to return... we already miss the beach and the sun. Nice tour and welcome anecdotes. Thank you

Peña Palace was amazing. First group there. Our Tour Guide Benny was the very best! Very knowledgeable and full of interesting facts for the entire tour. Our group of 8 loved it! Best tour in Lisbon with such convenience and ease for us!

A wonderfully curated experience with multiple stops in Sintra and Cascais. Our tour guide Vascos ranks amongst one of the best tour guides I’ve ever had. He was informed, enthusiastic, and very professional. Great descriptions of each site we visited and was an amazing driver as well. 10/10 would do it again.
