Our cruises start from Vlihada Port, which is located on the south part of Santorini. Accessible only by car or taxi, it takes 15 minutes to get there from Fira. Vlihada port and marina is full with yachts sailing and fishing boats. It is also a Beach. The beach follows a smooth descent. You will notice as you approach two large chimneys. One is directly behind the beach and one nearby, but don’t worry as this factory is no longer in use and the brick structures are actually quite pleasant to look at. This beach of Santorini itself is quite long covered with dark grey sand that one finds all over the island. There are a number of sun loungers here. It is worth having a look at the rock formations behind the beach Locations near Vlychada include the Settlement of Exomytis and the Settlement of Agios Georgios.
Red Beach
This is a wait of ferrous rock approx 125 meters high which has eroded and left red sand. The red beach is arguably one of the most famous and beautiful beaches of Santorini. It is located only some steps away from the ancient site of Akrotiri. The small size of the beach creates a much crowded atmosphere and there are many days where most of the visitors choose not to make it all the way down to the beach and instead admire this unique landscape of red and black volcanic rocks from the headland. Many sunbeds and umbrellas cover the dark sand and right on the seashore are some nice pebbles you can use for your collection. Snorkeling is highly recommended due to the interesting rocks. You are on a boat so no limitation for you. We will take you to the best photographic location so that you can capture the majesty from the best possible vantage point.

Theo and Harris were the perfect hosts, keeping us safe, relaxed, and very well fed. They were incredibly knowledgable about the history of the island, and we learned so much on our trip in between our multiple swims and copious amounts of sunbathing. We felt completely at home while on this trip and enjoyed every moment. Thanks again to the wonderful crew, you made this a very memorable moment for the both of us!

We are so happy that we booked this experience for our family. Theil and his crew were simply amazing... We booked the eight hour experience and are so glad we did so it was such a magical day into the evening for an incredible sunset. As we moved along Santorini, the crew would stop allow us to snorkel/swim, tell us about the different landscapes and the history of the island. His crew was so professional. The food was amazing very traditional Greek chicken dish with rice Greek salad, fresh fruit... such fresh ingredients and simply delicious. They were so attentive to our families needs My teenagers had a ball, if I could write this review for 10 stars I would. Thank you for an amazingly memorable experience.

We could not recommend the catamaran sunset cruise more! We were picked up in a luxury van and arrived to the most beautiful boat. The owner was present to greet us and we met the fantastic crew. Tzannee and George could not have done more for us! They were so lovely and attentive plus the whole experience was just a once in a lifetime adventure. The food was excellent and lots of wine/ beer Finished off with snorkelling and the most breathtaking sunset. We would 1000% recommend this experience and will be absolutely booking again/ recommending to anyone travelling to Santorini!

We signed up for the 7 hour sunset private tour. The captain/co captain were great and attentive. The cruise itself was nice., the food was plentiful. The reason for the 3 stars comes from 2 issues. The description implies that there are multiple opportunities to swim at the various beaches. We were given 1 opportunity to swim. When I asked about swimming to the beach, I was told maybe on the way back which did not happen. And then when it was sunset time, the sunset needs to be viewed from the back of the boat which is obstructed by the life boat, railings. So you can’t just sit and watch the sun set, you need to keep moving to keep the view as the boat is now racing back to harbor. So again no just sitting and relaxing and enjoying the view as it was a mad dash to dock the boat. That left a disappointing feeling at the end. It was a lot of money to have the 2 things that we had been looking forward to be the 2 things that didn’t happen/were rushed.

A must do in Santorini!! Harris and Theo were exceptional. Their hospitality was second to none. Views and blue water were breathtaking! They provided interesting information on the islands. Harris whipped up the most extraordinary meal. All five of us loved it!

The boat was clean and comfortable. The captain and crew were incredibly knowledgeable about the area and made a point to share as much information as we were interested in. Not only did we get to see many interesting sights, but we got some history and geology to go along with the sight. But, more importantly, the captain and crew took every opportunity to make us comfortable going over the top while not being intrusive into our experience. Anything we needed it seemed they already had in their hands before we could get the words out asking for it. I cannot recommend SailAway enough. It was the highlight of our trip.

Fantastic!!!!! They communicated well from the start. Pickup at our lodging in Oia was arranged via emails. They boat was VERY clean. The crew was so helpful and informative. The boat was well accommodated. We basically cruised the entire caldera. The boat has shaded sitting area in the back. Padded benches with a table to eat at. It had a in cabin padded benches with a table to sit at as well. The under side of the cabin had a restroom just for guests and a bedroom with a door if you wanted to sleep. The front of the boat had two built in bean bag reclined seats. and a netting connecting the catamaran right and left sides. The netting is good for one reclining person. We never used it. The recommended cruise was open to modification is we wanted to see something else. I am glad we did not modify the cruise itinerary. We saw amazing cliffs up close, red beach, black beach, volcanic islands that were old and still active, we swam at a private beach. Very rocky but amazing. They had towels and snorkel gear. We cruised by the harbor in Thirasia (Ormos Korfou) and drove up the the harbor at Oia and saw the Sostis (the solitary inhabitant of the old volcanic island), we swam up to an island church and did a cliff dive (about 25ft high), we at a spectacular dinner cooked by the crew on the boat. All 3 crew members came up to the front of the boat to tell us interesting history and local attractions as we were passing the attractions. They were super friendly, approachable and really seemed to enjoy their jobs. We finished the whole event with the famous Santorini sunset with amazing closing music playing over the boat's sound system. (you can attach your phone and play your own downloaded music if you want to). All alcohol, wine and water was available. Overall, this was amazing and spectacular. My 16 and 21 year old kids loved it. The wife and I loved it. The crew brought us back to port and the driver and van were ready and waiting to return us to Oia. 30 minute drive.
