The east coast of Korea is best known for Sokcho and Gangneung.
We know many international travelers have a hard time choosing between the two.
With this tour, you can stay in Sokcho and still enjoy a comfortable day trip to Gangneung.
If you’re not interested in K-culture spots like the BTS Bus Stop or the Goblin filming location, you can visit Naksansa Temple instead.
Also, if you’ve already been to another Arte Museum, you may choose Haslla Art World as an alternative.
Please note that substitutions may not be possible when touring with other groups. We appreciate your understanding.
Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
Naksansa Temple
Naksansa is a historic Buddhist temple on the east coast of Korea. It’s famous for its seaside location and the statue of Avalokitesvara, the Bodhisattva of Compassion. It was also selected by CNN as one of the 33 most beautiful temples in the world.
Jumunjin Breakwater
Goblin Filming Location (Gangneung, Korea) This is one of the main filming locations of the popular Korean drama Goblin (Guardian: The Lonely and Great God). The breakwater in Jumunjin is where the famous scene was shot — where Ji Eun-tak first summons the goblin by blowing out a candle. It's now a popular photo spot for fans of the drama.

I was the only person booked on Tony’s tour so I respect the fact that he did not cancel and I felt like a VIP being chauffeured around solo. Tony is a super nice guy and is very calm, informative and you never feel rushed. This tour was a good blend of some historical sites blended with some modern pop/art sites. He took loads of pics of me and we went to a very authentic local Korean restaurant for lunch and a lovely coffee shop for afternoon coffee and cake. He picked me up from my hotel at 9am and we returned after 6pm so it was a full day. Thanks so much Tony, one of the best tour guides I have met!

Fabulous experience, I was lucky to be the only one booked on the day I went. We went to all of places and more. Tony took lots of photo's for me and suggested poses. Beautiful beaches everywhere and the Arte museum I wanted to stay in. Tony pointed out the bits I missed. We got on well and understood each other. Thank you Tony!
