It was helpful to have someone navigate the public transportation system and our guide was nice and friendly, but this may have been her first tour. It was difficult to meet up with her from the HND airport, and it seems that her specific local knowledge was lacking and depended on google. Our group paid 600 usd for 6 people and I feel it was worth 150usd total.

I rated my full-day private ultimate tour in Tokyo a solid 5 out of 5, and it absolutely deserves every star. From start to finish, the day was packed with unforgettable moments, but what truly stood out to me were two key things: the exceptional food and the meaningful local interactions. First, the food was beyond amazing. Every stop felt like a deep dive into Tokyo’s rich culinary scene. From hidden gem ramen shops to mouthwatering sushi counters and bustling street food stalls, each bite told a story of tradition, passion, and quality. It wasn’t just about tasting the food—it was about experiencing the artistry and care behind every dish. The guide knew exactly where to take me for the freshest, most authentic flavors, and I left each spot completely satisfied yet eager for the next taste. Equally memorable were the connections I got to make throughout the day. Thanks to my guide’s local insight and warm rapport with the community, I had the chance to interact with Tokyoites in a way that felt personal and genuine. Whether it was chatting with shop owners, learning from local artisans, or exchanging laughs with vendors at a bustling market, these moments gave me a glimpse into everyday life in Tokyo that I never would have found on my own. The combination of incredible food and authentic local engagement made this tour feel like more than just sightseeing—it felt like being welcomed into the heart of the city. I’d recommend it without hesitation to anyone who wants a truly immersive Tokyo experience.

I had an absolutely amazing experience on the tour in November. With only one day to explore the city, this tour was the best way to see the city. From the moment I was picked up, the Akira my guide’s enthusiasm and deep knowledge of Tokyo made the experience feel like I was living in the city. The itinerary was based on my interests, ensuring I got to explore Shibuya and Harajuku, Akihabara. What stood out the most was how well the Akira took me to famous landmarks with lesser-known spots, giving me a glimpse of Tokyo beyond the typical tourist and he shared fascinating stories that made each stop even more special. By the end of the day, I felt like I had truly experienced the heart of Tokyo, all without the stress of planning or navigating on my own. If you’re short on time but want an authentic, tour of the city, I highly recommend Akira and this experience!
