Transfer from Assisi to La Verna
The Sanctuary of La Verna is a sacred place set in the heart of the National Park of the Casentino Forests, in the beautiful Tuscan region. This shrine is famous for being the site of the Stigmata of St. Francis of Assisi in 1224.
The surrounding mountains, including Monte Penna, offer picturesque trails and unforgettable hiking opportunities.
The forests rich in fauna and flora represent a natural sanctuary of rare beauty. In addition, the Sanctuary of La Verna is enriched by the splendid glazed terracotta by Andrea della Robbia, which decorate the walls and altars of the sanctuary. These Renaissance artworks depict sacred scenes and religious symbols, creating a unique atmosphere of devotion and spirituality.

A special, unique place. The area where the sanctuary is also very beautiful. I suggest staying at least 2h on site. Note that it is usually cooler there because it is on the top of the mountain.
