This food tour was a great way to experience the food of Venice, and obtain information on the history of the area. Flavia was an outstanding guide, and used stories to increase our understanding of Venetian food. We made five stops and tried everything from pizza to gelato. Walking some of the back lanes of the city provided a sense of the Venice often not seen. This is an excellent tour, and given by a very knowledgeable guide. Thanks to Flavia for sharing your knowledge of food, history and architecture as well as your love of Venice.

A lovely tour through Venice to wrap up our trip. Unfortunately, this was during the unprecedented heat wave and even though the tour was at 4:00 pm, the heat was intense. This was no fault of the tour director but only mentioned so that others take heed of the weather. Eating Europe tours are our favorite!

Did the 10:30 tour, meeting in a convenient location in Venice. Our group was small but very fun. Vanessa was our guide and was outstanding. She took us to terrific little eating spots, with a good variety of foods. And she gave us great information as we walked, sat and dined. I’m very happy with the tour and recommend it for others.

Am excellent way to spend Sunday afternoon seeing a lesser known, and much quieter part , of Venice including the Jewish Ghetto area . Giovanni was a great guide imparting snippets of information and tips about the food and wine. The select spritz and cod: cicchetti were revelations and the restaurant in the Jewish ghetto area looked to be worth a revisit. Topped off with gelato - what else would you expect in Italy - fantastic .

My sister, mom and I wanted to add something into our once in a lifetime trip and we are so glad we found this tour through Eating Europe! We were on the June 18th tour with Giulia and loved every minute. She was the best guide and answered so many of our questions about food, Venice and life in Italy. Every stop felt special and provided a taste we wouldn’t have experienced if not on the tour. Be ready to eat and savor every bite you get to try-you won’t leave this tour hungry! (Giulia’s rec of the salted carmel and peanut gelato was my favorite!) We have already recommended friends, family and our travel agent about taking tours through Eating Europe because we loved our experiences so much!

Phenomenal tour. Through learning Venice's colorful history of openness, I learned about, saw, and got to try the culinary pastimes I knew nothing about. It was an experience. 5*'s
