Covered with water, cows grazing the fresh grasses, colourful flowers and green-timbered houses, Zaanse Schans is home to what some call the Eighth Wonder of the World: the historic 18th-century windmills.
Everybody knows about cheese, but few know how it’s produced. Your private driver/host will take you to the place where the magic happens, where the Dutch dairy gold is crafted. You will visit a local cheese factory in the picturesque fisherman village of Volendam, where you will be taught about the cheese-making craft and enjoy a delicious cheese tasting.
With windmills and cheese on board, it’s unthinkable to skip the traditional wooden clogs in this tour.

5.00This was a great way to escape the bustle of Amsterdam, view beautiful countryside and learn about Dutch history. While most of the stops were designed for tourists and their associated purchasing, our tour guide, Eric, was knowledgeable and made the tour special.

5.00Highly recommend, request Elias as your driver, he's a great guide and person. Tour is excellent to visit true Amsterdam culture, seeing cliffs made, visiting the historic windmills, and then Volendam which is a great true fishing town (recommend eating at 35, then grab stoopwaffels for later!).

5.00We had a fantastic day with our tour guide, Younes! From the windmills, to the clogs being made, to the cheese shop, Younes provided detailed information and made the experience memorable. He also recommended an awesome waterfront restaurant for lunch. The icing on the cake for my husband was find he and Younes had a shared love for motorcycles. I would definitely recommend this trip.

4.00Your was nice with visits to the windmills, a cheese factory and the small town of Volendam. It was convenient to do as a part of a short layover in Amsterdam as pick-up and drop off were from the airport. Your us a bit pricey and the Volendam portion is mainly a self guided walk through a small lake town. Guide was pleasant and knowledgeable

5.00Younes was a fabulous tour guide. He was with us side by side for the whole tour explaining everything as we went along. We really enjoyed seeing all of the windmills. Beautiful scenery. The dairy farm was very interesting! The cheese farm was also great. We stopped at a fishing area & had delicious food. I would definitely recommend this tour!!

5.00Younes was a fantastic tour guide. He was very professional and our experience was luxurious just as advertised. Our day trip was also great. He customized it to our liking and we were able to do all of the things we wanted to do. We stopped at a wonderful spot for lunch that he recommended also. Younes is very knowledgeable about all of the spots we went on our tour and about European history. He is personable and accommodating. When we come back to Europe we will definitely be booking another tour with Younes. Fabulous!!
