Excellent overall, we were given an excellent briefing on how to use the kayak and a comprehensive safety instruction followed by further training on the water before we went off for the day. This is an excellent place to sea kayak from, and we had time to visit the seal colony as well as plenty of time in the sun and for lunch. There were a number of excellent nearly empty sandy beaches, and when we arrived back, the leader was quickly there to pick up our kayak. I would certainly recommend a day on the water. We only had limited experience but had a great day, and we're able to travel further than the organised groups.

Zak and our instructor were fantastic from start to finish. The equipment was well cared for and the kayaks were very stable. We headed out with perfect weather and made our way to Coquille Bay. The waters were calm and the beach deserted. By the time we headed out to Fisherman’s Island the winds picked up, the rest of our day was rough going into the wind. The kayaks were great though and we enjoyed our paddle and were happy to reach the beach in Marahau with our pickup waiting for us. Thanks for a great day!

R and R is a jewel in the crown amongst local kayak companies. Arrived in Marahau late and left query on line for a booking next day. Zak rang back quickly and gave a really helpful explanation of the tours available. We booked a half day kayak guided tour which was BRILLIANT. Off the back of Zac's general guidance and help on the best local sights, beaches , walks etc we stayed on an extra few days. The Water taxi to Anchorage and walk back is highly recommended! Would 100% recommend everyone visiting Marahau uses this company!!

We had the best day on a private guidet tour in kayaks in Abel Tasman. Our guide, Pandi, was amazing, and he was really good With the kids. Thank you very much. Big recomandation from us.

The R&R team were fantastically friendly and helpful from the start. The set up at the base is great and all the kit seems new and great quality. The briefing was clear and helpful with great tips on the spots to visit and then we were off on our own. Wow what a location for kayaking! The sun was out and the scenery was phenomenal. Genuinely the best Kayak trip ever and we have done quite a few. 100% recommend R&R. They are a great outfit!

Was so good, absolutely enjoyed it and our guide was very helpful and so lovely. Thank you so much Whitney and R & R kayaks. They were so helpful and flexible as there was a cyclone coming in up North and they managed to fit us in a day early. . Highly recommend.
