Golden Temple of Dambulla
The Sigiriya (Lion Rock) is treated as one of the most remarkable creations in the world, by King Kashyapa in (477-495 AD). The Path through the levels of gardens, boulders, Stone stairways come to the Lion Gate. Only the rock carving and the brick structure is evident today of the lion’s mouth through many local and foreign visitors to admire the beauty of this magnificent citadel. Sigiriya Rock hike visit will take about 2 hrs. After visiting Sigiriya stop for Lunch and refreshment. Then drive for Dambulla another 30 minutes.

5.00Chana was our guide for our Sri Lankan honeymoon and we cannot recommend him enough. He was thoughtful, knowledgeable and adaptable. Organising high quality safaris and excursions through Sigiriya, Nuwara Eliya, Ella and Galle which made for an unforgettable experience. Moreover his professionalism was second to none, an excellent and careful driver, giving us space to explore on our own and being proactive as the fuel crisis hit by making sure we had plenty of petrol during his downtime. Thank you Chana and well done, highly recommended!

5.00Sri Lanka is a place beyond imagination. The people are friendly and honest, the ecological environment is superior, and there is a lion rock that competes with the wonders of the world. Last year I contacted Chana Chartered Travel and was impressed. This year, once again, he arranged a trip, 11 people visited Yara National Park and several reserves, and visited Lions Rock, Ella and other places, and had a lot of fun. Chana is a great tour guide, arranging the most suitable trips and accommodation according to the needs of the staff, and the price is more than imaginable. After returning home, the winter has begun to consider asking him to arrange another trip.

5.00A Truly Unforgettable Journey – Felt So Cared For Throughout Our Trip! Me and my husband Thari just returned from the most incredible 14-day trip around Sri Lanka at the end of March and into April, and I can honestly say it was an experience we will never forget. I was a little over 18 weeks pregnant during our travels, and from the moment we arrived, Genuine Sri Lankan Tours made us feel so safe, comfortable, and completely looked after. Our journey took us through Colombo, Galle, Yala, Ella, Nuwara Eliya, Kandy, Dambulla/Lion’s Rock, Trincomalee, and back to Colombo. Every step of the way was so thoughtfully planned, and our driver not only got us from place to place safely but also shared so much about the beautiful culture and history of each location. The team at Genuine Sri Lankan Tours went above and beyond to ensure we had a stress-free and truly magical trip. Traveling while pregnant, I really appreciated the care and attention to detail they showed us — I never once felt worried or uncomfortable. I can’t recommend Genuine Sri Lankan Tours enough. And above all thanks to Chin, our extraordinary driver guides during this stay! Chin is an excellent driver, on the roads of Sri Lanka it is reassuring, but especially his good humor and kindness accompanied us throughout the trip. 5.00It was an amazing experience. The country is just amazing and the places Chin (our guide) took us were the best. It's important to have a local by your side to see and learn not only about the places you can find on google but also about the real, the authentic life of Sri Lankans. That's what Chin did. He facilitated everything for us. Chin is so kind, pacient, friendly and he is always paying attention to everyones needs; most of the time you don't even had to ask because he knew what you need i by the way you looked at something or by a gesture and he came with the solution. He went up and down to help us with everything, even with things that were not his responsability. So if you want to book this kind of tour I highly recommand it. And I promiss you, you'll never find a better guide than Chin. The tour is also well organized so its worth it. It has in it all the places you shouldn't miss when you visit Sri Lanka. And if you follow the recommandation of your guide regardind timing and organization you won't miss anything. They are also flexible so if it's someting you really want to do or see and it's on the way or close, Chin can make it happen. Thank you, Chin for everything! 5.00This is my second time traveling to Sri Lanka! The first time (April 2016) we chartered a car for 3 days. The original contact driver was unable to come and transfer to Chanaka if something happened. We were very satisfied. He drove carefully and calmly, explained good attractions in English, and the restaurants he brought met our budget needs. It was completely According to our itinerary, there will be no random addition of shopping stops. The second time (February 2024) we chartered a car for 9 days and still designated Chanaka. This time he concentrated on being a tour guide and asked the other person to concentrate on driving. Chanaka’s excellent service was the same as 8 years ago, and all the traveling companions had a great time.
