Elephants, buffaloes & several species of antelope are some of the characters you may come across today, & if you’re lucky, you may even spot a lion or leopard. You will return for lunch in the afternoon & go for a 3-hours boat safari upstream on the Victoria Nile to the falls where you will pass by breathtaking scenery, as well as many crocodiles, hundreds of hippos, buffaloes, water birds & animals that come down to the Nile. The boat will drop you near the waterfall for your hike (1-1.5 hrs) up to the top of the falls. You will go for a short sunset game drive & return to the lodge for dinner & overnight stay. Kibale Forest National Park
On this day, you will enjoy your last sunrise & breakfast in this beautiful National Park in Uganda with a walk to top of Murchison Falls for about 30 minutes to 1 hour. Here is your chance to see the beauty of the Nile perfected. Marvel at the immensely powerful falls, caused by the 50m-wide Nile being funnelled into a 7-metre cleft in the rocks. Dropping 40 metres with a thunderous roar, the falls create a beautiful rainbow and an impressive plume of spray-they were once described as the most spectacular thing to happen to the Nile along its 6700-kilometre length. You will immediately start your journey from Entebbe to Kibale Forest National Park through Fort Portal town. Fort-Portal rests in the shadow of the fabled Mountains of the Moon. You will enjoy spectacular views of the Mountains and tea fields along the way with other several stopovers for beautiful scenery, landscape viewing among others before reaching Fort Portal for your lunch at Fort Portal Garden Restaurant.
In the afternoon after your lunch, you will choose to go for a guided Crater Lakes & Plantation Walk. The landscape south of Fort Portal is dotted with picturesque crater lakes, some over 400m deep. These crater lakes are breathtakingly beautiful to behold, and offer one of the best hiking places in the area. The hikes lead you through several crater lakes, villages, tea plantations and waterfalls.
OR Go for a guided walk in Nature at Amabere caves where you will be able to view stalagmites, crater lakes, and birds viewing, hill climbing among others. Amabere Ga Nyina Mwiru Caves is a historic site believed to be the birthplace of the founding King of Bachwezi. The Amabere Ga Nyina Mwiru meaning ‘Breasts of Nyinamwiru’ were named after the stalactites that form in the caves. They resemble the breasts of a woman, though some would say it looks more like a cow’s udder. After your guided Crater Lakes & Plantation Walk or guided walk in Nature at Amabere caves, you will check in to Lake Nkuruba Nature Reserve & Community Campsite (cottages) or Kibale Forest Camp (permanent safari tents) or Kibale Forest Lodge (rooms) for your relaxation, dinner & overnight stay. We had an unforgettable experience with Ecovic Safari Tours during our recent trip to Uganda. From the moment we started booking, Vincent made the process smooth and straightforward, ensuring all our preferences were accommodated. Once on the tour, our guide Frank truly went above and beyond to make our safari special. He was knowledgeable, attentive, and always made sure we had the best possible experiences, his stories about his family and Uganda were captivating. Frank was simply awesome. We saw a remarkable variety of wildlife, including lions up close, hippos, elephants, giraffes, and rhinos – it was breathtaking! The accommodation, which we had chosen as mid-range, far exceeded our expectations. It was of the highest standard, with exceptional service, and the meals were consistently delicious throughout the trip. We highly recommend Ecovic Safari Tours for anyone planning a Ugandan adventure. Frank and the entire team made this a trip of a lifetime!

Could not say more positive things about our trip Uganda with Ecovic. Uganda is an amazing country to visit, the natural beauty of the country is only surpassed by the people, who were uniformly welcoming, hospitable and went out of their way to ensure that our stay was comfortable. We had an amazing safari with Ecovic, in particular with our driver Issa. Issa picked us up promptly from the airport and always ensured that we would get safely to our next destination, even if the journey was 8 hours long. We felt very safe in his company and he went out of the way to meet our needs, including stopping for refreshments and breaks as needed. In addition, he was very well informed and always took the time to educate us about the animals and culture. He has been doing his job for over 20 years and it is clear that he has a deep love for his country and animals. I am vegetarian and my partner is gluten free but we never had any issues with any meals. Meals were delicious and filling. All of the tented lodges were clean, comfortable and the owners were hospitable. We even had a hippo outside our tent in Bush Lodge! Despite a last second request, Vincent from Ecovic was able to accommodate our itinerary and got us gorilla and chimp permits within a few days, only a week before our trip. Overall would highly recommend a trip to Uganda and would highly recommend our driver Issa and Ecovic.

We availed an 8-day tour with Ecovic on October. We found them through safaribookings.com and dealt with them directly. Vincent has been really helpful from the beginning especially on trying to customise our tour. We availed a budget safari including the gorillas, chimpanzees and murchison falls. It was such a good value as all of our accomodation have been amazing! Our tour guides Frank and Joseph were really good! They were knowledgeable and good at spotting the wildlife. During our tour an unfortunate terror incident in the area we were in but our tour guides have dealt with it calmly and they kept us feeling safe. We cannot recommend them enough! Thanks Ecovic for providing us an amazing tour of your beautiful country!

This tour was an excellent introduction to all the natural wonders that Uganda has to offer. While I faced difficulties with the airline and my luggage, Vincent (owner) and Issa (driver/guide) worked hard to ensure an amazing trip that involved sightings of birds, butterflies, zebras, hippos, warthogs, buffalo, antelope, lions and, of course, special treks to see chimpanzees and the mountain gorillas! The accommodation were excellent and so unique - from tents in the wildlife preserve to lodges overlooking serene lakes and eucalyptus trees. Vincent was excellent in coordinating the trip and Issa is a knowledgeable and experienced guide/driver who knows so much about the flora and fauna of Uganda and maneuvered along the roads (both paved and dirt) with confidence. I highly recommend this experience!

I took a private tour because my dates were not flexible. It was marvelous! Vincent was a great tour guide! The tour itinerary was just perfect for my pace and suited best my interests. I had to shorten the tour to only 4 days due to my travel schedule. The lodges were excellent! Day 2 we stayed on an island at lake Bunyonyi, and I had a tree house overlooking the lake. The next day we drove to Kazinga channel, and there I had a big room overlooking the channel also. I highly recommend Ecovic Tours! They plan your trip carefully and they pay attention to details.
