Our next destination is Bayanzag, renowned as the flaming cliffs, where the discovery of the first nest of dinosaur eggs took place in 1922. Ongi Monastery

Our journey continues to Ongi Monastery, once a thriving religious center with two grand complexes. The southern complex housed 11 temples, while the northern one, built in the 18th century, had 17 temples and four Buddhist universities. Sadly, the entire site was destroyed in 1939, but its ruins still tell a story of Mongolia’s rich spiritual past. Exploring the remnants offers a glimpse into the monastery’s former grandeur.

On the 13th day of our journey, we head back to Ulaanbaatar, concluding our adventure through the Mongolian countryside. After checking into a comfortable hotel, you’ll have the afternoon free to explore, shop for gifts, and entertain yourselves. You can visit Gobi Cashmere for some luxurious souvenirs, or head to Zaisan Hill for stunning panoramic views of the city. Feel free to wander the local shops, find the perfect gifts for your family and friends, or simply enjoy the city’s lively atmosphere.
