We came across Kalahari Breeze Safaris while looking for an Enterprise that offers safari tours in the Okavango Delta. Even if the design of the homepage still has room for improvement (as of September 2025), all useful information for a camping safari tour can be found on it. The quick and competent feedback from Maria on our requests, however, has already given us the feeling of having found the right Enterprise in the travel preparation. That's how it was. Maria warmly welcomed us at the airport in Maun. Also during our safari tour Maria kept asking if everything was okay. Our guides Master and Clifford are very close to nature themselves and enabled us to make great wildlife observations again and again. Their enormous knowledge of nature and the ecological contexts has always amazed us. Her understanding of photographers is also commendable. They parked the safari car in such a way that the animals were not disturbed, but so that the light for photographing looks optimal. Hats off, I hadn't experienced anything like this until today. The great crew made sure we didn't miss anything while camping. The food was very delicious, I didn't expect to be cooked out in the bush so varied, e.g. that there is lasagne. The tent, camp bed and the rest of the equipment were very new and functional. We didn't miss anything. Big praise to Mary and her staff, we would like to get back on the plane and go on tour with you. Thank you for everything!

It was a fantastic trip and perfectly organized by Maria! We were allowed to see, linger and marvel at sooo many wildlife from close up. The local guides have extensive knowledge and have told us a lot of exciting things. Camping in a tent, the cooking skills of the crew and the cosy get-together around the campfire have made this holiday a unique experience.

This trip was amazing. From the beginning of the process, Maria was great at determining the best itinerary for our needs. Communication was great with fast response times. The guides (Master and Clifford) were amazing. They seemed to know everything, and where to find it. The cooking/tent/supply crews exceeded all of our expectations. It really was a perfect trip.

I cannot recommend Kalahari Breeze enough. From the moment we started planning our trip, our contact Maria, was helpful, quick to respond and full of useful suggestions. We chose the camp Safari and it was amazing. We did safari camping before, but this one exceeded our expectations: the staff are all locals, with a deep knowledge of the territory and animals. The guides are a priceless source of information and they will make you understand the beauty of the nature. The crew at the camps will make you feel at home, making sure you well fed (thanks to our amazing cooks!!!!) and warmed, giving you warm water bottles at night and at sunrise and fresh drinks at sunset. I really hope to have the opportunity to travel again with them.

We were really looking forward to this tour. Staff and supply was good. Everyone involved was very friendly. We would have been very pleased. We stopped our tour because we couldn't stand the handling of the animals. You could see all the animals from the car very well and take photos. Unfortunately, the animals were followed so massively and disrespectfully when they wanted to withdraw. At the same time, there were always another five cars in the park, so an agreement took place between the drivers. The animals were fed in from several sides to be able to take a good photo. This was unbearable for us personally. To the driver we have done our opinion on this kind child.But..... It was not an easy decision for us to drop out, because it was all very expensive, of course. We would like to see more respect for the animals. Then we would have loved to finish this tour. It's all like Disneyland. Everything is based only on the photos for the customers. The looks of the animals were just hard to bear.

I am so glad I did my Google searches and found this company. They are great for doing all the activities you want and seeing everything on a limited budget but still comfortable and with excellent guides. The food was fabulous and we couldn't believe it was cooked on a bush stove! Our guide Thata was friendly and enthusiastic with great young eyes that spotted everything! Our favorite the we saw were a leopard and cute little lion cubs in the Okavango. That camp is more permanent so the tents are slightly bigger and more comfortable. Our guide for Khwai and Savute was Clifford. He was very chill and mellow. My friend had a little crush on him. He was very experienced at seeing and finding wildlife so we saw many animals there as well. The trip started with an overnight under the stars in the makgadakgadi pans. Maria did a wonderful job planning that at the start of our trip as the moon was still a crescent so we were still able to see so many stars! It also got us accustomed to many hours riding in the jeeps and vans to get there, 3 hours on the paved road then an hour 45 minutes from the gweta Lodge to the salt pans. It was totally worth it! We got to see meerkats on the way back which was my main goal for that part of the trip. Obviously there are no bathrooms in the pans and the toilet they set up was... rustic. We were so very pleased that the rest of the trip had much nicer toilets. The tents run by Kalahari Breeze had an open air bathroom with walls but no roof. It has a nice little drop toilet with a bucket of dirt to cover things. The showers are innovative. They fill a large bag with hot water and there's a little handle on the side you use to turn the water on which goes through a shower head. We loved the "bush baby" hot water bottles they gave us each morning and evening to keep us warm. Each back has a crew of 3 that handles cooking, set up, water, and other needs. They were all so friendly and welcoming! We felt it was a really great way to see Botswana, in between the self drivers who had to do everything themselves and didn't have a guide spotting animals and giving great information and the expensive lodges you fly between which are so very expensive. The accomodations and activities they set up for us in Victoria Falls were fabulous. Everything was really well planned. I recommend adding on the helicopter tour for $150. Thanks Maria for setting up a wonderful trip that we will remember for a lifetime!

In the second part of August my family and I went on a mobile camping safari in all the major areas of interest in Botswana, including the Okavango Delta, Moremi, Savuti with complementary short visits of the Makgadikgadi Pan and Kasane Chobe areas, finishing with a visit of Victoria Falls in Zimbawe. A mobile camping safari, the first for us, has proven by far the best safari experience. We were close to the natural environment, we visited secluded places as if the areas we visited were only for us and saw a multitude of animal life in many situations so striking that every sighting was a real novelty. We must thank the expert guides Clifford and Master for their excellent leadership, organizational skills and vast knowledge. Spending the evenings with them at dinner and around the camp fire was also a way of knowing them personally better and being closer to the people in Botswana making it a richer experience. We would not have enjoyed the experience as much if we had not had the comfort of a well organized camp with excellent, simple and nutritious food prepared by the staff. Finally, a word of thanks to Maria and Chris for a very well designed custom made safari, the excellent overall organization and all the needed support for local logistics. We would strongly recommend Kalahari Breeze for having made this mobile camping safari experience truly unforgettable!

This safari trip exceeded my expectations as a full nature and Botswana cultural experience. I just had to show up and everything was planned, including the camp setup out on the terrain and re-location to a new region every three days, daily excursions, three good meals a day including creative three course dinners, a full sense of security, a fun and interactive crew taking care of everything, and an experienced guide to track and discuss all the animals and habitat.
