Did you know that Tampa Bay is home to over 600 Atlantic Bottle-nose dolphins? On this 1.5-hour cruise, your captain and guides will teach you have to spot dolphins making you an expert by the end. You can choose from morning or afternoon departures to fit your schedule.

What To Expect

Tampa Water Taxi Company

After boarding your cruise, you'll travel out in the bay to see pods of friendly Atlantic Bottle-nose dolphins. Your captain will bring you to areas where these dolphins spend their day feeding, playing and raising there young. Just outside Tampa's downtown is the nursery for Tampa Bay's dolphin population where mothers and calves frolic the day away. Your guide will explain the daily life and habits of the dolphin on this 1.5-hour cruise. When your guides spot the pods of dolphins, the boat will stop within 30 feet (10 meters) or less as the guides have ways to get them to come right to the boats. Keep your cameras ready as you will see dolphins closer than you ever thought. You will be a master of dolphin spotting by the end of your cruise! After seeing the dolphins you'll head back to to downtown Tampa, cruising the channels and river and learning about the great city of Tampa.

The 1.5 hour dolphin cruise was incredible. We saw dolphins the entire time and mark our tour guide was so knowledgeable. I have some great dolphin facts to share a cocktail party now.

Great guide! He provided lots of interesting information on dolphins. And, we happened to see a few pods while we were out (nature doesn't always cooperate, but it did when we went out). It was pretty great seeing dolphins in the wild. It was also a nice tour of the waterfront in Tampa. I'd recommend the tour, for sure.

It was great to be out on the water. I was worried we weren’t going to see a dolphin but on the way back we were lucky to see a beautiful dolphin rise out of the water. It was amazing.

Wonderful! Would definitely recommend. Started a little rocky, as they texted at 7:30 am that morning wanting to move our 11 am to 2 pm. It was a beautiful day, so it was purely because we were the only ones booked at that time. Which I understand and support - small businesses have to be smart - but a message the day before would have been better. Thankfully, I was able to re-arrange the day because we had an incredible time on the cruise. Saw TONS of dolphins, and just enjoyed a great day on the water. They even played fun music, so we sang and danced. It was a great, unique view of the city!!

Absolutely wonderful... Would highly recommend this tour. The tour guide was so nice and informative. Seeing the dolphins is undescribable. I also got to see a pelican feeding frenzy!

We were in town on business and had some extra time before our flight, so we looked for a fun activity before heading for the airport. This was the perfect excursion for us! We got to spend time on the water, see some beautiful views, and encountered a pod of dolphins. We really enjoyed our time with the Tampa Water Taxi Company.

They cancelled on us bc of weather but the weather was completely fine. I called the company and the guy who answered was not nice to me. Would not recommend if you want solid plans. Ruined our day.
