It was a very enjoyable experience. The night jungle walk is the most fun. Our guide was excellent and he did a perfect job. All things went ok. We had a minor comment about the accommodation. With the use of solar energy, I believe that a ceiling fan would be an excellent choice. At night the weather is humid and unbearable.

My girlfriend and I had an amazing time on this trip! Our guide, Edwin, was very friendly and knowledgeable about the jungle. The only thing we didn’t like was that the trip was over so fast!

This was a great experience of the Amazon River and jungle. Our guide Rene was attentive, knowledgeable and made sure we had fun while learning about the people, the river and the jungle. The food was great and the excursions (River tour, Amazon village and jungle hike) we're safe, enjoyable and we learned a lot

Segundo has been absolutely phenomenal. He has treated us like amazon queens. So kind. So honest. And he is genuinely taking his time to make sure we have the best time possible. Literally top shelf service here. Very honest man who is making sure our experience is at its fullest. I wish we could stay longer. This is such a beautiful place. Even my oldest daughter was worried about the jungle walk and he has done nothing but check on her. And been so kind. The food is EXCELLENT !! THE ROOMS ARE AMAZING. Every room has a private shower and bathroom with a relaxing hammock on the porch. You MUST come here and do this because it's once in a lifetime experience and Segunda has been the Best!!! please don't miss out on this opportunity! You will not regret it

Anguila (our tourguide) was amazing! A pleasure. The tour with Maniti Expeditions in Iquitos, Peru, was an unforgettable Amazon adventure. From the moment we arrived, the team was welcoming, knowledgeable, and attentive. Our guide shared deep insights into the rainforest’s wildlife, plants, and local culture. We explored the Amazon River by boat, visited indigenous communities, and even spotted pink dolphins, sloths, and monkeys. The lodge accommodations were comfortable and well integrated into the natural setting. Meals were delicious and freshly prepared. The experience was both thrilling and educational—perfect for nature lovers and adventure seekers. I highly recommend Maniti Tours for an authentic Amazon rainforest experience.

First of all the staff that work here work tirelessly hard and they are incredibly hospitable. Yet, it wouldn’t be fair if honest reviews weren’t offered. This is brutal, as a trip. I would much rather climb macchu piccu because you will not be able to breathe in this jungle air. There is no let up, there’s no fans or air con so please don’t be expecting that. I was thankful that they allowed us to leave early for no extra cost and that just prooves how gracious they are as hosts. But don’t be under any illusion this is tough, I wouldn’t recommend it for children in particular. It’s extreme tourism for those that thrive on it! Also many trip advisor reviews are asked to be conducted whilst guides are watching so many of these reviews may not be 100% honest as people feel under pressure :) I wish this lodge all the best as the locals deserve it

This tour is perfect for those wanting a small taste of an experience of the Amazon without having to spend too long dealing with pesky mosquitoes. Our guide Segundo was awesome, picking us up promptly, leading us safely through a jungle walk and was super passionate and knowledgeable about everything he showed us. Despite being wet season, Segundo’s energy didn’t let the average weather dampen our experience. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a brief but exciting experience in the Amazon. You may even see some dolphins 🙂

Had the most amazing time ! Big thanks to Segundo for making our experience so memorable. We were well taken care of from the moment we were picked up from our hotel and also throughout our stay. Would definitely recommend!

The whole two-day tour was very unprofessional and not worth the money. The living conditions were very poor and minimal: only 3 hours of electricity and 4 hours of WiFi each day, and there was no clean water. We had to pay for bottled drinking water. We also got bed bug bites. Food was tasty, but limited supply—given the amount of money we paid, I would expect to at least have enough fruits, instead of one piece of fruit each person. All these could be tolerated if the tour was good, but no… Our guid was very unprofessional. He didn’t tell us any knowledge about the Amazon or the jungle except for pointing out some animals and plants. Nothing more—he didn’t talk much. He only talked to the person next to him and left the rest of the group wondering what they saw and what things were. He told us to meet at 6am the second day, but when we were ready, he just canceled the trip without reasons. And then when another person asked, he changed plan back to leaving without reasons either. His English was very poor—he barely understood us, and we barely understood him. He had a tough time formulating longer sentences in English, and we believe he couldn’t really talk about the region because of that. He is a nice guy and helped us get on and off the boat and with our luggage, but he was not trained to be an adequate and professional tour guide at all. It feels like the company just grabbed a random local guy who knows a little English to do this professional job. The whole trip was very disorganized. There were always 1-2 hours between activities or between activities and meals when we were left doing nothing. We were told to go back our rooms to “rest”, but the rooms had not even electricity and we were just sitting in heat and humidity doing nothing. The sites we visited were not exciting either. We hoped to see Amazon animals in their natural habitat, but we saw human fed animals in a village and zoo like animals in cages. Last but not least, we were given a feedback form in front of the camp crew, including the guide, to fill in. How could we write anything negative when our return boat ride was still in their hands? We would like to request a refund for at least half of what we paid. We paid 375 dollars each person, and our family all felt it was a ripoff for the service we got.
