I cannot recommend Peru Andes Travel enough. My friend and I did a two-day program beginning in Cusco and ending at Machu Picchu, and the entire experience exceeded every expectation. From the very beginning, their team was incredibly professional, responsive, and thoughtful in helping us design an itinerary that fit both our budget and our love of hiking. They made everything feel seamless while still allowing us to feel like the trip was truly our own. From the moment they picked us up at our hostel, I knew we had made the right choice. We explored some of the most beautiful and fascinating sites in the Sacred Valley—places I honestly wish we had even more time to enjoy—and spent the night in Aguas Calientes. The next morning, we hiked up to Machu Picchu, which was nothing short of magical. It was one of the most meaningful travel experiences I’ve ever had. I especially want to recommend our guide, Alfredo. His warmth, professionalism, patience, and genuine passion for his country made an already incredible experience unforgettable. His depth of knowledge about Peru’s history, culture, and landscape was astonishing, and he shared it in such an engaging and accessible way. Every place we visited was enhanced tenfold by his storytelling and insight. Alfredo made us feel comfortable, inspired, and completely taken care of throughout the entire journey.

Wow. Just wow. I’m almost at a loss for words, but I can say with complete confidence that the best way to experience Machu Picchu and Peru is with Peru Andes Discovery. We had Alfredo as our guide, and he was truly exceptional, compassionate, incredibly knowledgeable, and deeply thoughtful in every detail. From the moment we arrived to the final goodbye, we felt completely taken care of every step of the way. There was never a moment of uncertainty or stress; everything flowed seamlessly, allowing us to be fully present. Exploring Machu Picchu with Alfredo brought the history to life! His passion for Peruvian culture and heritage was evident in every story he shared. He struck the perfect balance between guiding us with expertise and giving us space to pause and simply take in the beauty of the Andes. If you’re considering a trip to Peru, don’t hesitate. This experience was unforgettable, and so much of that is thanks to Alfredo and the team. We are leaving with a deeper understanding of the country, its history, and its people. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

My husband and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience with Peru Andes Discovery and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a seamless, engaging trip to Machu Picchu or other nearby destinations. Peru Andes Discovery was recommended by a friend who also had a wonderful time with this team, so we reached out to them a few months before our travel. We received an immediate response from Alfredo (tour guide) and Arnold (travel designer). They asked questions to understand our trip goals, and we were able to quickly setup a 2-day trip to MP in late November that met our unique travel needs (we were so happy with that experience, we then added on a 1-day trip to Rainbow Mountain too). The team: each person we interacted with was kind, personable, service-oriented and very knowledgeable. Alfredo, our guide to MP, ensured each part of that trip was perfect. Beyond the fact that he had so much interesting information to share about MP and Incan history (in English too, which was VERY appreciated considering our Spanish is minimal at best), he added a short hike in Aguas Calientes with us that was not on our itinerary, recommended great spots to eat, and even took some excellent photos throughout our time at the site (which ended up being the PERFECT weather day, which we’re sure Peru Andes Discovery helped to make happen too). Sandro, our tour driver, was the true star of the trip. Driving in Peru is pure chaos, and he managed it with calm and professionalism. The twists and turns up to Rainbow Mountain are not for the faint of heart, but he handled them like a true driving rockstar. The van was always clean, with water and snacks to keep us confortable too. Sandro also took us on a side trip to a local Alpaca textile maker where we learned how their items were made and had the opportunity to buy legit goods made on site. Arnold, our trip designer was a skilled professional. He was communicative and helpful throughout—and was clearly very good at his job. We so appreciated all of his work behind the scenes to make our time there stress free. Gustavo, our guide to Rainbow Mountain, was also deeply experienced and a joy to interact with as we climbed the very difficult hike up to the top. He offered us tips to make our time in Peru even better, and was always a smiling face even during those steep, oxygen-limited climbs. Why book with Peru Andes Discovery? While their offerings might be slightly pricier than larger tour groups, the one-on-one attention and thoughtful additions to the overall trip were SO worth the extra cost (pickup/drop off at the airport, door-to-door service for all excursions, insights into the best spots for photos, tips to avoid altitude sickness, interesting facts about what we were seeing from a true local’s experience, and constant communication to ensure we were where we needed to be, had the correct tickets and never found ourselves lost/confused throughout what can be a quite complex journey). If you book with this team, you will not regret it!

I will highly recommend PAD's service for an unforgettable memory of a lifetime - flexibility to customize trips according to preference i.e. start time, duration and locations - guide knowledgeable and caring. I took my time to experience the Inca sites - The guide showed me the local culture, authentic & native food and local market for shopping. - price was very reasonable for the excellent service PAD offered

This is a gem of an agency. Not budget but full service in every sense. We booked our tickets to Peru only a few weeks before going and realized that Circuit 2 Machupicchu tickets were sold out. We were able to get Circuit 1 and 3 tickets, but figured we were going all that way, we should see the core part of MP--thus, we contacted Arnold at Peru Andes Discovery and he immediately got back to me via WhatsApp and we were able to construct a tailor-made private tour and he was able to obtain Circuit 2 tickets for us. It wasn't cheap, but Arnold threw in airport transport from the Cusco airport to our airbnb (and back), transport from Cusco to the train station in Ollantaytambo (and back), and Vistadome trains to MP. Kudos to all the Peru Andes Discovery drivers -- always on time, always waiting with an easily identifiable sign, always helped with our large suitcases, and super friendly and informative. We were lucky to get Hoowert for the long drive from Cusco to Ollantaytambo -- the most upbeat optimistic person you will ever meet. The ride went quickly because we were having so much fun talking with Hoowert -- we got to go by his family home and hear stories of what it was like growing up in the Sacred Valley. When we got to Aguas Calientes, we were greeted by Alfredo who was our guide for the 2 days, one night at Machupicchu. Alfredo has U.S. connections and has been in the U.S. for extended stays. His English was the best of anyone we've met in the Cusco area. His knowledge of Machupicchu is deep, too. That combination made the tour that much more enjoyable -- we could ask deeper questions as we spent time at the ruins. Alfredo is known for being great with kids (he has a few of his own) and it showed with our son on the autism spectrum -- he engaged our son frequently and was patient/resourceful when he was having a hard time staying on the program. We can't recommend Alfredo enough -- friendly, approachable, patient, knowledgeable, always willing to go the extra mile (example, he arranged for the hotel staff meet us at the train station to take our suitcases so we could have a leisurely time getting to the hotel). He's known by the locals and the staff at Machupicchu which allowed us to see a few things we might not have seen. He let us go at our own pace -- on the first day, the weather was so spectacular, he was fine with us just hanging out until sunset/closing at the upper viewpoint above the main Machupicchu complex. We exchanged contact info with Alfredo and hope to see him the next time he comes to the U.S. You won't find a better tour guide.

Our 6-day trip in Cusco was unforgettable. We started with a City Tour of the city, exploring its streets, temples, and the fortress of Sacsayhuamán. Next, we visited the Sacred Valley of the Incas, full of stunning landscapes and archaeological sites like Ollantaytambo. The hike to Rainbow Mountain was challenging, but the view of its vibrant colors made it all worthwhile. We ended with Machu Picchu, where watching the sunrise over the citadel was magical and moving. A perfect journey of culture, history, and adventure, Peru.
