6:30 AM – Departure from Kampala Meet your guide and depart Kampala early, heading north via the Kampala–Gulu highway. 9:00 AM – Ziwa Rhino Tracking Stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a guided walking safari to track Uganda’s only wild rhinos. This experience takes about 1.5 to 2 hours.

Murchison Falls National Park

11:30 AM – Continue to Murchison Falls National Park Drive through Masindi and Budongo Forest to enter the park via Kichumbanyobo Gate. 1:00 PM – Lunch at a lodge or rest camp inside the park Relax and refresh before your next activity. 2:00 PM – Nile Boat Safari to the Bottom of the Falls Enjoy a boat cruise on the Victoria Nile. Spot hippos, Nile crocodiles, elephants, waterbucks, and bird species like kingfishers and herons. 5:00 PM – Short Evening Game Drive After the boat ride, enjoy a short game drive en route to your lodge. Look out for giraffes, elephants, and antelopes. 6:30 PM – Dinner and Overnight Stay Check in to your accommodation and enjoy dinner at your lodge inside or near the park.

Morning Game Drive – Top of the Falls – Return to Kampala

6:00 AM – Morning Game Drive Begin the day with an early game drive on the northern side of the park. Look for lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, and birdlife. 9:00 AM – End game drive and proceed to Top of Murchison Falls Drive straight to the top of the falls for a scenic walk and photo opportunity. Witness the mighty Nile crashing through the 7-meter gorge — a breathtaking finale to your safari. 10:30 AM – Exit the park

I had an amazing trip with a friend from the U.S., arranged by Eshande Safaris. We tracked rhinos at Ziwa Sanctuary, trekked with chimps in Budongo Forest, and visited the stunning Murchison Falls. The boat cruise on the Nile was full of wildlife, hippos, elephants, and more. Everything was smooth and unforgettable, thanks to Eshande Safaris.
