One of the best experiences I have ever had with a tour company throughout my many travels! We had the pleasure of having Darius, the owner of Usalama tours, as our main tour guide and from the very first meeting he made us feel like family. His infectious smile and never ending enthusiasm kept the group in high spirits each day and every part of the itinerary was perfect. Darius consistently went above and beyond to make sure our group was always safe, satisfied, and getting the best experience possible. I cannot thank him and Usalama tours enough for a truly unforgettable experience. Also, I would be remiss if I did not mention the National Park guides, Amour, Daniel, and Justice. They were knowledgeable, kind, and overall phenomenal people. Usalama couldn't have chosen better safari guides!

Darius was an amazing tour guide. He was always so kind and caring towards my group. He always made an effort to connect on a deeper level with us in the class. Daniel, our tour guide on the safari was also amazing and answered any questions I had. I highly recommend using this tour service.

The BEST crew in all of East Africa! I travel all over the world for work and have had many guides. Darius, the owner of Usalama, is by far the best guide I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with! I’ve worked with Darius on many occasions and will continue to in the future. Darius goes above and beyond to help you plan the perfect trip. Darius creates unique itineraries for each group, based on interests and needs. Darius and his crew are experts and provide as little or as much educational info as your group is looking for. In addition to all of his many professional talents, Darius is an amazing human being.

When my friend and I decided to visit Rwanda, we researched many options for tour companies to show us the country. Usulama Tours went far and beyond to make sure we got to see all the beauty of Rwanda. Even before arriving, communication was quick and easy. We were able to customize a tour with an airport pick up at 2 am and a late-night check in to a beautiful hotel that Usulama booked for us. Upon arriving at the airport, we were greeted by Darius’s warm smile. We had no idea that it would be Darius himself, the owner of the company, that would be picking us up. He was excited to see us and treated us like we were old friends coming to visit him. We spent the next three days with Darius touring the city of Kigali and doing a two-day safari in Akagera National Park. Darius knows every person in Rwanda. At every museum, store, restaurant, and facility we entered, the staff greeted us like old friends because they knew Darius and his trademark smile. He made sure we toured like locals, explaining Rwandan history, customs, and foods to us. We tried all the local foods and drinks. Darius went out of his way to find it all for us. You want to taste the local banana beer? Darius will find you a place that brews it. You want to go to a non-touristy restaurant where the locals eat with their families? Darius will take you there. Our entire time was filled with laughs, selfies, and a great time with our new local friend. I highly recommend Usulama. We enjoyed our time so much that we booked a second tour with them, which Darius was more than happy to do for us.
