This tour starts at a Potbelly Sandwich Shop and across a parking lot where a Starbucks is located. We start here because of its proximity to River Oaks and so that you can have dinner, or a drink, and use bathrooms before and or after the tour. The parking lot is large and has many cars in it so your vehicle should be safe. We will drive through one of the richest neighborhoods in the US and see their holiday decorations with options to drive through very exclusive shopping areas. In addition to the many lights, we will point out the homes of past and present famous people and where murders happened:
1. Joel & Victoria Osteen' home.
2 Paul Hobby's home.
3. Formerly Oscar & Lynn Wyatt's & now James & Cherie Flores's home.
4. The school that Elizabeth Holmes attended & that was in the movie Rushmore.
5. Dr. John & Joan Robinson Hill's home.
6. Ash Robinson's home.
7. Gertrude Zabolio's home.
8. (Formerly Tilman) & Paige Fertitta's home.
9. John Connally's home.
10. Rienzi.

River Oaks
We will drive through the wealthiest neighborhood in Houston and one of the wealthiest areas, full of millionares and billionares. River Oaks is bigger than Beverly Hills, California. It is over 2 square miles/3.2 square kilometers. It has about 12,000 people living there. The largest mansion has over 30,000 square feet/9,144 square meters, although a new larger mansion is currently under construction in 2025. You will see magnificent houses, over the top decorations and lights, and huge oak, crepe myrtle, and magnolia trees. If you are interested, let us know and we will take you to 2 elite shopping centers called the River Oaks District and Highland Village and another elite neighborhood called Oak Estates.

The lights were fabulous, but to call this a family friendly tour was not accurate. Before entering the van that would take us as well as during the tour the guide, Keith, thought it was appropriate with my parents, my husband and myself to reference sexual comments about Houstonian residents on the tour as well as houses that murders occurred. Increased references to the lights, Christmas spirit, and not alluding to gore or sexual references would have put us more into the Christmas spirit.
