Enjoy a two hour cruise traversing the deep waters of Milford Sound, located in Fiordland. Your cruise will take you past St Anne’s lighthouse and out into the Tasman Sea. Informative guides point out scenic highlights along the way, such as the Bowen Falls (dropping 160 metres seaward), Sinbad Gully (a classic example of a hanging valley), snow-capped Mount Pembroke, and the awe-inspiring Mitre Peak itself, towering 1692 metres from the ocean floor.

Your 2-hour sightseeing cruise will depart from the Milford Sound Visitor Center.
Mitre Peak Cruises
You will traverse into the deep waters of the Milford Sound and will have a chance to enter Milford Sound from the outside, approaching it just as the first settlers did at the end of the 18th century.

5.00The experience was great felt out of this world. As I was leaving the free car park one of my good Salomon hiking shoes must have fallen out of the van. I didn’t notice till when I got back to te anau. I contacted mitre peak cruises to see if they had the shoe in list property. They said the would contact me if they find it. Not long after the lovely lady Madeleine called me and said the had found it. With no questions asked she organised the shoe to get flow from Milford sound to Queenstown the same day as we were driving there. I picked up my shoe and it had a lovely message on it from Madeleine. She was amazing and really went above and beyond just so I got my shoe back. I would really recommend mitre peak cruises because of their professionalism and lovely staff.

5.00Fantastic experience. Smaller boat allowed us to get closer to the waterfalls and the wildlife. Captain gave good information during the cruise. Would 100% book with them again.

5.00Mitre Peak Cruises were excellent, we did the bus/cruise/bus from TeAnau with Trips and Tramps. The bus trip was fabulous, opportunities to stop for photo's with excellent commentary from Ben plus time for a short bush walk on our return trip. The cruise around Milford Sounds was breathtaking and we were able to be at front of the boat for entire trip, we had great commentaries,with staff all friendly and helpful. The smaller boat was the perfect way to see everything.

3.00The road trip from Te Anau to Milford Sound was much better than the cruise….a bit disappointing with the experience. The cruise staff and service were good….not their fault. I just expected more from the natural surroundings, that’s all.
