What To Expect
Drive or walk your way towards The View Hotel Premium Cabins and at the end of the road is a path leading to our horse stable. When you arrive at the Sacred Monument Tours Horse Stable location, you’ll meet your Navajo guide, sign a waiver and receive a safety briefing.
West And East Mitten Buttes
We’ll begin our journey with a scenic ride to The Mittens, also known as the West and East Mitten Buttes. Enjoy stunning views and learn about the geological significance of these iconic landmarks. When viewed from the south, the buttes appear to be two gigantic mittens with their thumbs facing inwards.

5.00Great experience. Our tourguid Ranger (nickname) was awesome. Had a lot of knowledge about the valley. The horses were great. You feel absolutely free over there. 5 stars by far.

1.00Safety is not a priority. They are only interested in getting you to sign the waiver No practice before beginning the tour. Our guide was young and a bit of a show off. He fell from his horse a number of times during the tour. About three quarters of the way through, the horse I was on reared up & threw me off causing injury to my lower back.

5.00Ranger and Logan were great guides. They shared stories about their heritage and their desire to teach others about it. They were both great guides and very patient with us novice cowboys! The horses were gentle. We enjoyed seeing some of the monuments very close. Would recommend to all!
