The ride went perfectly. The horses are well treated and the guide is very helpful and very friendly. He took several pictures of us in the most beautiful settings and explained the meaning of each Monument. Thanks to Dylan!

That’s the best thing we’ve done during our road trip in west US.

We had Marco, Dylan and Dwayne bring us on our tour. We had a small group it was just us and one other couple. I got Navy and my partner got Tonto. We had the best time ever! My partner still cannot stop talking about it. If you’re going to monument valley and staying in the view this is the place to go! Btw you can park at the stables we weren’t sure so we walked. Honestly could bot recommend enough. The lads were so good! They always made sure we were doing good and comfortable on our horses. They took as many pictures as we wanted. Best tour we’ve ever been on.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience on the Sacred Monument 2-hour horse ride. Our guides, Marco and Dylan, made the ride exceptional. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and made everyone feel comfortable and confident, whether experienced or new to riding. Their easygoing personalities added to the relaxed, peaceful atmosphere. The trail itself was stunning, beautiful scenery in every direction, with a quiet, almost magical feel that made it easy to fully unwind and take it all in. It was the perfect mix of serenity and adventure.

This tour was an enjoyable way to see the beauty of Monument Valley. The horses were well-trained, and our guides made both my wife (an experienced rider) and I (not so much) feel comfortable. The tour consisted of four roughly 20-minute segments of riding on sandy trails and four 10-minute "photo stop" breaks. The trail took us up and down through the terrain near some of the buttes and made us feel that we were out enjoying a beautiful and wild place; it was not just a dull plod over flat trail like some trail rides can be. The tour has a max of only four participants, so it was small and personal. The tour is quite expensive! In fact, it is more than twice the price per person of a popular two-hour ride at Bryce and only a little more than a full-day Grand Canyon mule trip. At half its current price, it would be a reasonable value and much more family-friendly. Despite the sizeable price tag, tips are actively solicited. I appreciated the photo stops, but they didn't need to be quite so long (especially as riders didn't dismount and walk around). I chose "Sacred Monument Tours" hoping to learn more about the Navajo history and tradition in the area, but our Navajo guide's brief description of the buttes at the first stop was much more about the many films produced in Monument Valley with little about the Navajo, even when prompted with a question.

We really enjoyed our ride with Marco and Dillon. They were a delight to ride with. Patient, knowledgeable, and confident, Marco and Dillon easily engaged in conversation during the ride. The ride allowed us to get closer to the geologic structures in Monument Valley. The ride is not a simple flat walk in the desert. Rather there was some terrane, not severe, to climb and descend which added dimension to the ride. Finally, the horses are well trained and were easy to control and ride.

I’ve ridden a horse. Once. Like fifteen years ago. I wasn’t particularly good at it. I don’t recall being particularly bad either. But it had been a while. Until this tour. And let me tell you- what an experience. Our guides were phenomenal. Providing insight as to navigating the valley, dispensing interesting facts about the monolithic natural structure and their history, and to educating me as to if my horse wanted me to get away from him- or if he just wanted to go fast (it was the latter). Tanto was my horse. Once I realized he just wanted to eat grass every 75-100 feet we developed an understanding. A kinship. A bond. After that this horse and I were ready to take on the fields. And. We. Did. We hit a moderate gallop which I was completely unprepared for. But I held on. Tanto sensed it was time to take the training wheels off and I survived. Now with an enlightened perspective. I’m debating selling everyone I own to buy a horse and live out on the prairie. This experience was part of a once in a lifetime father and son trip, it was tremendous, and one that I will remember forever. And it’s all thanks to Sacred Monument tours.

This was one of the best experiences of my life! Dylan was an amazing guide who made the tour welcoming and peaceful. The horses were beautiful and well trained. The gentleman there was also fantastic about being flexible when I made a mistake with the time zones switching.
