Highlight of our trip to the Outer Banks on a very windy week! It was fascinating to see the Corolla area and especially the horses!

Excellent adventure- we were fully informed of the Banker horses and the local community. Our guide was raised in Corolla and had a number of stories that added depth to our tour.

We assumed that this part of Corolla was protected and therefore plenty of viewing options for the wild horses. Of the 10-12 horses we did see, most were in front yards eating grass and seemed less than wild.

Edna, our tour guide & driver was excellent!! She gave us an historical background of the horses & the structure of their families. We were fortunate & saw about ten horses, including a “family” on the beach!! I also loved riding the big sand dunes of Corolla. It reminded me of the dunes if Fire Island when I was a kid 65 years ago.

There were 6 of us in our party. We all enjoyed the tour. Our driver/guide was Edna and she was great. Very knowledgeable about the history of the wild horses and the environment in which they live. We saw quite a few horses but were sad to see the development of their habitat. A bit strange to see a wild horse in someone's yard. Glad to hear there is a conservancy that is protecting this amazing animals. Would do the tour again and would definitely ask for Edna. She is a gem.

Hold onto your hats. Scenery and horses are beautiful, well worth checking it out. Easily takes the whole 2 hours.

Our tour was owned and operated by a local family. Our guide clearly loves her history and shares her passion for the horses and the land.
