Our experience on Avatar was fantastic! Ned, Jamie and Gus were amazing start to finish. Food was scrumptious and plentiful. The stop offs were great and the beach party at night was a highlight! It is very very very hot to sleep at night but to be expected in the area, we opted to sleep outside. Highly recommend.

The trip as a whole was quite fun, good and social group, nice to see the Whitsundays and snorkel. A couple of things that are important to know beforehand. They stuff the boat with a max of 26 people. This means that if you're a solo traveller chances are you are in a very small bed with a stranger. I find this weird and uncomfortable. the quality of the boat is also questionable: on the first night one of the nets broke, which almost led us all to fall into the water and made us having to sit on the other net with too many people. The food was okay but not enough for everybody. If I'd do it again I would book with a somewhat better quality boat and also for a shorter amount of time: in 3 days the only thing you do is Whitehaven beach and a couple of snorkel spots. I would have liked to see more of the Whitsundays.

I’ve travelled a lot around Australia, but this Whitsundays sailing trip on Avatar was easily one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. From the second we stepped onboard, the crew made us feel so welcome and within hours our group had turned into a little floating family. Sailing through the unreal turquoise waters of the Whitsundays felt like cruising through a postcard. Whitehaven Beach absolutely blew me away — the pure silica sands of Whitehaven Beach and the swirling views from Hill Inlet lookout were even more stunning in real life. I particularly loved seeing the snake on the tree on the way down. What really made the trip was the atmosphere: sunset drinks on deck, getting my hair plaited by the crew, music playing, and a delicious spag. I’ll happily toast the legends who made it happen (aka Ned, Hannah and Toby) 🍻

Max, Meg and Evie were stellar. Ship comfortable (and very stable), lots of space to chill, food was good and itinerary was first class - great mix of seeing different fish and also amazing views, especially Whitehaven beach. Max had great knowledge of area and did a good job of pointing out different fish to us. Thanks guys

Had the best 2 days / 2 nights on this tri-cat in the Whitsundays. Unreal vibes from start to finish. Ned, the skipper, was an absolute class bloke — funny as , knew his stuff, and kept the whole boat buzzing the entire trip. Couldn’t have asked for a better captain. Meg was brilliant and basically ran the show when it came to getting us everywhere — absolute machine on the boat and made everything feel effortless. Eve smashed it with the food (honestly gorgeous meals the whole time) and was a legend on deck, especially when it came to putting up the jib. We drank plenty, snorkelled some insane reef around the Whitsundays, and of course hit Whitehaven Beach, which was just unreal. One of the funniest parts was being shouted at to pull on the main sail — hilarious at the time, but Jesus it hurts the next day. Couldn’t fault the trip at all: great crew, amazing food, stunning locations, and top-tier memories. Would 100% do it again and recommend it to anyone heading to the Whitsundays 🍻⛵️

Came for the Sailing, Stayed for the Vibes Did a 2 day / 2 night sailing trip with Ned, Meg, and Eve and can confirm: zero regrets, zero stress, and only a very minor increase in my desire to live on a boat forever. Ned somehow steered the boat like he was born holding a compass, Meg kept things running smoothly while also being great fun, and Eve was equal parts legend, morale booster, and general all-round star. Between the three of them, everything just… worked. Effortlessly. Almost suspiciously well. Highlights included: stunning views, salty hair I pretended not to care about, lots of laughs, and that magical boat feeling where time stops being real. Nights were cozy, days were sunny, and no one once said “are we there yet,” which feels like a win. Would 100% recommend if you like good people, good vibes, and the sea doing its thing. Would sail again. Would stay longer. Would absolutely forget sunscreen next time too. ⛵️🌊

Health hazard and dire conditions I will try to report the facts, without entering into personal judgment because only bad words will come out. I state, in 7 participants we interrupted halfway through the tour, due to safety and health risk problems as the extremely precarious conditions of the boat and the total inexperience and lack of confidence of the staff. First: we left 3 (THREE) hours late on the first day and we could not snorkel or any other activity because it was dark. So first day lost. Second: we couldn’t sleep in the cabin the first night because it was 40 (FORTY) degrees, we ALL stayed out in the rain and the staff never cared about us, EVER. Here a girl begins to get sick. Third: on the second day the skipper (totally incapable and inadequate) wants to sail without wind and we stayed still for an hour wasting more time, before he realized after our urgings that the boat was stopped, then decided to leave, too bad he got the tides wrong and we could not see the designated beach which was the beauty of the tour. Fourth: we ask to go back, because the sick girl needed to go back because the conditions were really worse and aggravating for her, he organizes the return without the slightest concern for the girl and puffing continuously, we paid 70 dollars each, too bad that he did not tell us that for five hours we should stay on a beach waiting for the boat that would bring us back. He drops us off at noon without food and water leaving us on a beach. Fortunately, the boys and the staff of the boat that brought us back understood the gravity of the situation and gave the sick girl and then us food and drink first. They were also shocked by the situation. Fifth: a girl got sick last night from sunstroke, none of the staff cared about her, EVER!!! When I say NEVER I say we treated and assisted her and we bring her back!
