Being a technique that can only be worked standing up, it is not recommended for those who are forced to stay in a wheelchair.
Having to handle glass and other tools of the trade, the workshop is proposed to an adult audience.

What To Expect
The workshop aims at the knowledge of this ancient art, with brief historical notes and an approach to all the materials necessary for the creation of a small stained glass window... to be worn! From the design project to the cutting of the cardboard templates, from the tracing of the model on the specially selected glass to the cutting of the glass with an oil glass cutter and subsequent detachment with the appropriate pliers, up to the welding of the small work of art. During the activity we allow ourselves a few minutes for a break with drinks, tea or coffee.

5.00This was our favorite part of our Italian trip! Michela was patient, warm and welcoming — generously sharing the history of stained glass and meticulously bringing us through even step of the craft process. She even accommodated us exceeding the booked hours (from being too ambitious with our designs). We left with pieces we love (and will treasure forever) and fun stories from Michela. 10/10 would recommend this to anyone visiting Rome!

We began with the history and origins before moving into the techniques, and the process of making stained glass turned out to be incredibly therapeutic. She created such a relaxing, fun atmosphere that made the whole experience really enjoyable. I honestly can’t recommend this workshop enough, it was one of the highlights of my trip to Rome!

5.00We accidentally found this class while scrolling for things to do. It was VERY last minute and Michela was so very accommodating. It's an AMAZING location because there is a Botanical Garden right across the street that was nice to check out before our 3pm class. My wife made a butterfly and I ended up making a pig. It was originally supposed to be a dog or bear but she helped me turn it into a pig since we have a pot belly pig as a pet at home. My wife was having a hard time because she forgot her glasses but Michela was a very patient teacher with us. This was a really fun experience and I would DEFINITELY do it again.
