My daughter and I visited London on 11th February and had pre purchased tickets for the red line sightseeing hop in, hop off bus. We disembarked the bus at Westminster to view the attractions in the area and returned to the same bus stop shortly afterwards, to resume our tour. We were told by the TopView representative that the bus would be 12 minutes. Over 40 minutes later we had to run the far side of a large building to catch a connecting bus as none was coming our route. After making this hurried dash, we discovered that the bus we were on was returning us to a route we had seen already. We had to get off in Temple area just to get a tube to Victoria to view Buckingham Palace. At this stage, it was 4pm. We eventually made our way back to Victoria to catch a TopView bus to see the rest of our sights. The next bus that came along told us it was the end of the route for him and that he could not honestly tell us how long we would have to wait until the next bus, but it would be at least 30 minutes. It was 4.25pm at this stage. It’s London and I was a female with my 13 year old daughter left stranded by not just one but two of Top View buses. I was not satisfied with their service at all. I contacted them on two different occasions since to complain and to ensure this doesn’t happen to other vulnerable customers. To date i have heard nothing back from them. Avoid this company if you want an enjoyable, well run and safe bus tour.

I purchased the 48 hr hop-on/off with multiple add-on attractions included including a night tour. The first day, we thought we were in the wrong spot to catch the bus because we were waiting so long, so we walked to the next closest on their map. We finally got on the blue line, drove to the other side of London, where we were told it was the last stop. It wasn't even 5pm. We had to make our own way back to our hotel. The next day, we got up early, confident that we now knew where to catch it. An hour wait, it finally showed. We got off at the River Thames stop to do the included cruise, only to discover it was 1 way, and no bus stops were close. We paid the return boat fare to get back on the bus. We again had to wait 45 minutes. It drove in circles, completely eliminated 4 stops and also dropped us across town before 5pm. We paid for the night tour, but we had 15 minutes to walk almost 2 miles to catch it. There was no customer service via the app. We found 1 ticket seller to complain to, and she couldn't even give us contact info. There were several other companies who were at the stops every 10-15 minutes. Out of the 7 attractions we paid for, we barely were able to use 3 in 48 hrs. BTW, we are experienced travelers, I just didn't do my homework on this one.

This company is highly unreliable. We did a bus/walking/boat tour. I had family over from Spain with young kids. We booked a boat ride for 5.30pm to take us back to Waterloo Station. When we got there, we were told that the last boat left at 5.15pm. We had to pay for tube tickets to get home. The website states very clearly that the boats run until 6pm, plus the website actually allowed us to book the tickets. When I queried this and requested a partial refund, I was told that the website info was incorrect so they offered us renewed boat tickets (valid for 12 months), however I stated that my family would not be coming back to the UK within the next 12 months. Since then, I've had zero response to my emails. They are all ignored and I've sent around 10 emails asking for a partial refund since the error was on their website so they should take responsibility.

My girlfriend's parents in town briefly for weekend. They bought 24h ticket and then wanted to meet me and go on the blue route the next day. I bought a ticket online then took them to the spot on Gloucester rd which was closed - admittedly mentioned this on their website. Went to the next stop on Topview's map - Palace Gate. We waited there for an hour - there is no timetable on the bus stop or on the website. The phones are very hard to get a hold of. Eventually we see a topview bus driving down a different road to the one we're on (even though we're at the bus stop pictured on the website, RQ) and drives past us. We didn't have time to wait for another hour. Eventually I got through to someone on the phone who said you'll have to send an email to get a refund, which I did - over a week ago. It has of course been completely ignored. Use another tour bus company, the other ones are bigger for a reason.

Awful experience. Purchased a 24 hour hop on hop off bus around London which also included a Thames river cruise. FAQ's stated the 24 hours would start when we scanned the QR on the first bus which we did at 15.30 on 20 February. The bus itself was fine and we did a full loop around the main London sites. The problem started the following day when we tried to use the bus again and go on the Thames cruise. Unfortunately for some reason the tickets expired at 3.00 am that morning meaning we only actually had them for 12 hours so we could not use them, which really spoilt our weekend as we didnt want to pay again when the tickets we purchased should have been valid. We tried to contact the company by phone (no reply) and we used their contact us form and emailed them directly. We have received no reply. Please use one of the other many bus companies which are much more professional and take note of the bad reviews, I wish we had.

Buses take a long time to pass, not at all stops puts the name of the bus company and we went crazy looking for the nearest stop. The blue route touched us a terrible, unpleasant driver that made us get off the bus because it said it was over, and did not make the corresponding route, but cut the circuit without seeing part of the important things.

We purchased our tickets in the morning from a friendly and helpful employee, which gave us a very positive first impression. Unfortunately, our experience later that day was extremely disappointing. We arrived at one of the stops at 3:50pm and waited in the rain for our bus to arrive. During the half hour we stood there getting completely soaked, buses from City Sightseeing Tours and Big Bus passed us twice, yet ours never showed up. With no sign of our bus and thoroughly saturated from the rain, we eventually had no choice but to take a taxi back to our hotel. In hindsight, we very much regret not booking with a different bus company

No time tables... no online info available. The leaflet reads excellent! The actual experience is nothing like it! Time wasted waiting at bus stops for no bus to turn up. Turns out the blue route ran once every hour! How can that be classed as hop on hop off... Ended up walking and taxis.... good job it was on offer. Reading the small print, you'd still not get a refund even if the route was cancelled!!!!

The last time I did an open top bus tour was back in 2008, and London’s skyline has changed so much since then that this felt completely new. I took my mother and my fiancée out for the day and we all had a great time. Friendly staff in red jackets made it easy to find the right hop-on, hop-off points, the headphone audio tour was clear and informative with great music, and the complimentary ponchos were a thoughtful touch in the rain. A really enjoyable way to see London, and I’d happily do it again.

Booked a 24 hour ticket. Started use at 3pm yesterday, it’s now expired at 0830 next day. Robbing *****. Buses DO NOT run every 10 to 15 minutes as it states, we waited over an hour for our bus. Then it did not stick to the route. Missed out quite a few stops. And when we got on we were told by the driver it was ending at stop 33, and not doing a full route! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!
