The 3 Hampdens tour was really great, a fact packed tour that proves that Scotland gave football to the world and Glasgow was where it all began, the 3 guides shared stories that brought history to life and transported us back in time, the whole tour made me proud of the part Scots have played, both at and around the world in the birth of the beautiful game

One of the best tours I ever did. Lindsay is an amazing guide — you rating the passion she has in the early years of Scottish football. I learned a lot and it blew my head off the way he transmits it. I always thought football was invented by the English, but now I know it came out of Scotland. The best part: Lindsay showed up with the Independiente shirt, I recommend it in full.

This tour was amazing! I learned so much about football and Scotland’s connection to it that I didn’t know before. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is a fan of the game.

⭐️ TLDR; If you're in Glasgow, this is a MUST DO regardless of your football/history background! Before this tour, my friends and I were convinced—like most people—that the English were responsible for shaping modern football. Our professor’s lecture (we're study abroad students from the States!) on Glasgow’s role piqued our interest, but nothing could have prepared us for the immersive experience that awaited us on this walking tour! Despite no scheduled availability, Lindsay and Graeme went above and beyond to arrange a private tour for us. What followed was two hours of absolute magic. Graeme, our guide, wasn’t just knowledgeable—he was a storyteller, a historian, and a passionate football lover who made every stop along the way come alive. Walking through key historical sites, including placards #15-20 and later St. Mary’s Church (#6), we gained an entirely new appreciation for Scotland’s role in shaping the beautiful game. Even the skeptics in our group—one of whom originally pushed back when I suggested the tour—left convinced. Every detail, from the origins of passing play to the foundation of clubs and Scotch Professors that changed football forever, was delivered with insight and enthusiasm. Graeme and Lindsay's generosity didn’t stop after the tour either—Graeme continued sharing additional research and insights, deepening our appreciation even further, and Lindsay's recommendations resulted in an incredible match day experience (we went to Celtic vs. Dundee after!). I’ve taken countless tours, especially now as an exchange student, but this one stands head and shoulders above the rest. It wasn’t just a tour—it was a journey through time, an argument for Scotland’s rightful place in football history, and a memory I’ll cherish for years. I have no doubt that it's currently one of the best things I've done while studying abroad and it will stay that way. THANK YOU LINDSAY + GRAEME :)
