We had a fantastic time with Charlie, with great vibes and fantastic stories to tell! She really took great care of us, even when one of the only two roads into Skye was blocked she turned us right around and got us there safe and sound! We had a ton of fun and would definitely look to book with Charlie to tour the west coast next time.

Highly recommend! Our tour guide Paul was AMAZING. He was able to make a few special extra stops throughout to get the most out of our experience. We had people from Italy, Israel, Australia, Finland, the Netherlands, Mexico, Idaho, and Texas on our bus. Such a mix of cultures. The Jacobite was down so we took a quicker train on the same route which let us do extra stops afterwards before heading back to Edinburgh.

First the good, Dusty our driver couldn’t have been better !! He was so knowledgeable and pleasant and kept everything running smoothly with a light hearted joke to brighten every stop. He went out of his way to be sure we saw everything we could. He truly made the trip a success. Now the bad, we booked this trip to ride the Jacobite steam train, we realize the train line was having problems but when we saw the train was up and running June 1st and I send an email confirming we had tickets on the 3rd and it was confirmed, imagine my great disappointment to learn they hadn’t gotten us tickets only on the Scotline, yet when we were queuing up that morning and a tour was heading out on the Jacobite how was this fair after booking in Jan 2026? Then the order of our days was totally changed and no one notified us! Everyone on the bus was confused as to what was happening. So word of advice Highland Tours/Viator need to get their act together and be upfront with people about how your trip is proceeding. As we pulled into Glenfinnan and the Hogwarts Express was parked along side of us with people on it and not us, imagine our disappointment after traveling from the USA! Thank goodness for Dusty or this trip really would of been a bigger disappointment.

I had the best time on this isle of skye journey to hogwarts tour! Alistair was absolutely amazing! Very knowledgeable about the sights, the buildings, history of the land, myths and legends, animals and wildlife and some of the plants too! This tour was well paced with plenty of stops to get out and stretch, with really clear communication about times to be at the bus, with lots of good recommendations on where to eat, drink and shop at these stops. The bus was a smooth ride with some exceptional Scottish tunes too! Learning some Scots Gaelic was an extra treat! Tapadh leat and Tìoraidh Alistair!

Donnie was amazing! Could not have hoped for a better tour or guide. The train was down but we knew about that ahead of time. But he made up for it with all the other stops and his intimate knowledge of the region and its history. He was extremely considerate of all of our needs—bathrooms, food, drink—and seemed to time everything perfectly, knowing exactly the right place to make a stop. A++++ and I will be sure to tell my friends to book with Haggis and try to get on Donnie’s tours!!!!
