We Just got back from an unforgettable 3-day safari from Mombasa to Tsavo East, and it honestly exceeded all my expectations. Our driver, George, was the absolute highlight. From the moment he picked us up, he was calm, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the bush. He knew exactly where to go and had us spotting lions, huge elephant herds, giraffes, and even a leopard within the first few hours. His stories and patience made the whole experience feel special. We stayed at Voi Safari Lodge, which was perfect for the location. The views over the waterhole from our room and the restaurant were incredible – we saw elephants and buffalo coming to drink right in front of us in the evenings. The rooms are comfortable, the food was good, and the staff were friendly. Tsavo East’s vast red landscape and wild feel is something else. If you want a proper safari experience without the crowds, this is it. Highly recommend George and this lodge. Already thinking about going back!

just got back from a 3-day safari with Joppa Kenia Safaris in Tsavo East and I can honestly say it was one of the best decisions I made on my Kenya trip. Rachel was the one who arranged everything, and from our first conversation she was super responsive, patient with my questions, and really listened to what I wanted. No pressure, just clear information and good advice. They picked me up right on time from Leopard Beach Resort in Diani. The driver, James, was friendly and professional, and the vehicle was comfortable and well-equipped. The drive to Tsavo East was long but interesting – we even spotted some wildlife along the way. We stayed at Voi Wildlife Lodge, which was perfect for the location. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the balcony overlooking the waterhole was a highlight. We saw elephants, buffaloes, and even a couple of lions coming to drink in the evening while we had dinner. The lodge has that classic safari feel without being too fancy. The game drives in Tsavo East were excellent. Tsavo is huge and wild, with that beautiful red dust and open landscapes. We saw massive herds of elephants (some of the biggest I've seen in Kenya), giraffes, zebras, impalas, and different types of antelope. The birdlife was incredible too. On the second day we got really lucky with a big pride of lions relaxing under a tree – we spent almost an hour just watching them. Our guide was knowledgeable, patient, and knew where to go without rushing. Rachel had everything well organized – meals, park fees, transfers, all sorted. Nothing felt cheap or cut-corner, but it also wasn't overpriced. The whole team made us feel safe and well taken care of the entire time. If you're thinking of doing Tsavo East, I would definitely recommend Joppa Kenia Safaris and ask for Rachel. It was a proper, authentic safari experience that left me with great memories. Highly recommended!

Our 3-day Tsavo safari with Joppa Kenya Safaris and it was honestly one of the best family trips we've done. We were a group of five (me, my wife, our two kids aged 9 and 12, and my mum) and everything was well organized from the moment we were picked up in Nairobi. The driver/guide Joseph was excellent — patient, knowledgeable, and really good with the kids. He made sure we got great sightings without rushing. We saw huge herds of elephants (especially at the waterholes), lions, giraffes, zebras, and even a couple of rhinos which was a bonus. The kids loved every minute of it. We stayed at a lovely tented camp inside the park. The tents were comfortable, food was fresh and tasty, and the staff were warm and welcoming. Nothing felt too commercial or crowded, which we really appreciated. The only tiny thing is that the drive from Nairobi took longer than we expected because of traffic, but that's normal. Everything else was spot on. Would definitely recommend Joppa Kenya Safaris if you're looking for a reliable, family-friendly operator. They took good care of us and helped create memories we'll talk about for years. Thanks Joseph and the whole team!

We just got back from a 3-day Tsavo East and West safari booked with Joppa Kenya Safaris and it was one of the best decisions we made in Kenya. From the first email, they were quick to respond, flexible with our dates, and very transparent about what was included. No hidden costs, everything went exactly as planned. Our guide George was outstanding. He’s clearly been doing this for years – his knowledge of the animals, birds, and the park itself is impressive. He could spot things we would have completely missed (like a leopard resting in a tree or a hyena den). What we loved most was how patient he was. He never rushed us, always found the best angles for photos, and shared interesting stories about the animals and the local area without it feeling like a lecture. The camps were comfortable, the food surprisingly good for bush standards, and the game drives delivered. We saw huge elephant herds, lions, giraffes, zebras, and even a rhino in the distance. The Tsavo landscape is wild and beautiful – very different from the crowded parks. If you’re thinking about a Tsavo safari, I’d definitely recommend Joppa Kenya Safaris and specifically ask for George. He made the whole trip special. Thank you team! We’ll be back. Highly recommended.

We had an incredible 3 days / 2 nights safari in Tsavo East with Joppa Kenia Safaris and it was pure magic! Our driver guide Davis was fantastic very knowledgeable, friendly, and always ready to go the extra mile to find the best animal sightings. He made every game drive exciting and informative. We stayed at Voi Wildlife Lodge, which has a great location right inside the park. The rooms were comfortable, the pool was refreshing after long drives, and the food was really good. We especially loved our visit to Lugard Falls the scenery was beautiful and we saw plenty of elephants and other wildlife around the area. This was a perfect mix of adventure and relaxation. Everything was well organized and stress-free. If you’re planning a Tsavo East safari, I highly recommend joppa Kenia Safaris and Davis. We’ll definitely be back!

Just finished an excellent three-day safari in Tsavo East organised by Joppa Kenia Safaris and it was brilliant from start to finish. Our guide was sharp-eyed and really knew t he park well, so we got to see plenty of elephants, lions, giraffes, buffaloes and lots more. The red dusty landscapes felt properly wild and exciting. We stayed at Voi Safari Lodge, which has a fantastic hilltop location overlooking the plains and a busy waterhole. Watching animals come down to drink while having breakfast or dinner was a real treat. Rooms were comfortable, food was good, and the staff were friendly. Everything was well organised with no stress at all. Great value and a perfect introduction to a Kenyan safari. Highly recommended! 5/5 – We’d happily book with them again.

Just back from an unforgettable three days in Tsavo East National Park, and I’m still buzzing from it. We went with guide George, and honestly, the man made the whole trip. He has this incredible eye for spotting animals where we saw nothing – a lion half-hidden in the shade, a family of elephants quietly crossing the red dirt road, even a leopard draped over a branch one late afternoon. George’s knowledge of the park, the animals’ behavior, and the best routes at different times of day turned every game drive into something special. No rushed feeling, just pure excitement and plenty of time to watch and take photos. We stayed at Voi Wildlife Lodge, which was the perfect base. The location right on the edge of the park meant we could watch wildlife coming to the waterhole while having breakfast or a cold drink in the evening – super relaxing after long drives. The rooms were comfortable and clean, the staff friendly, and the food was surprisingly good (that nyama choma hit different after a day in the bush!). Sunsets from the lodge were something else. Tsavo East feels vast and wild compared to more crowded parks. We saw huge herds of the famous red elephants dusting themselves, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, plenty of birds, and those magical big cat moments thanks to George’s guiding. Three days gave us a proper taste without feeling rushed – early morning drives when everything is active, afternoon ones when the light is beautiful, and time to just soak it in. If you’re thinking of Tsavo East, do the multi-day option and ask for George if you can. He didn’t just show us animals; he helped us really experience the place. Already planning my next trip back. Highly recommended!

Just got back from a 3-day safari in Tsavo East and wow, what an incredible experience! I've always wanted to do a proper Kenyan safari, and this one totally lived up to (and exceeded) every expectation. We started early from [your pickup spot, e.g. Mombasa/Diani/Nairobi if you want to add], and the drive into the park already felt exciting – that red dust road and the first glimpses of the huge open plains. Once inside Tsavo East, it was non-stop action. Herds of elephants everywhere – seriously, dozens at a time, crossing the roads, playing in the mud, little babies trunk-wrestling. We saw lions chilling under acacia trees (one pride even had cubs!), giraffes munching on treetops, zebras, impalas, buffaloes, and tons of cool birds. Our guide was brilliant – he knew exactly where to look and spotted things we would have missed, like a leopard up in a tree one afternoon (pure luck, but he made it happen!). The game drives were perfect – morning and afternoon ones each day, with a break in the middle for lunch and some rest. The lodge/camp we stayed at was really nice – great food (loved the fresh nyama choma and the breakfast spreads), comfy beds, and the views from the balcony were insane, especially at sunset when animals would come to the watering hole. Waking up to elephant trumpeting right outside was surreal! Everything felt authentic and not too crowded compared to some other parks I've heard about. The 3 days were just the right length – long enough to really soak it in without feeling rushed, but short enough that it wasn't exhausting. If you're thinking about doing Tsavo East, go for it! This was hands-down one of the best trips I've ever done. Massive thanks to our guide and the whole team – 100% recommend, 5 stars all the way!
