This was our first time using a private guide, and we hit the jackpot with Private Kruger Safaris! Package safaris with dinners and other special activities have their place, but being able to customize and focus our experience made it more meaningful and memorable for my family (4 adults). Instead of adhering to a prescribed daily schedule, our guide tailored our days based on weather, which animals were active, and our wishlists, which ultimately allowed us to see more than we'd hoped. We were told that there is no guarantee that you'll see any of the Big 5 on a safari, but having a knowledgeable, private guide greatly increased our chances. Our guide had a deep understanding of animals, birds, and plants in Kruger, and was patient as we peppered him with questions. He communicated with other guides to learn where the animals could be found and knew (or found out) where to find things on our bucket list. He also celebrated along with us when we were lucky enough to spot animals/things. We had a spectacular three days and would do it again in a heartbeat

The Trip was really amazing. We got to see elephants, lions, buffalos, lepard, giraffes, rhino, hippos and many more anymals in just one day. The guide Bernhard is full of knowledge about the park and has amazing experience. Also crazy stories to tell to get an idea what is going on in the park. I would rate it 10/10 and consider booking here again. Thanks alot!

This was one of the best experiences of my life! Our tour guide was so incredibly knowledgable and kind. He made the whole experience so much fun. I was nervous we were not going to see the big 5 because our trip was so short, but we saw the big 5 several times. Our tour guide knew when and where to go, he explained so much about the bush and the animals. He made everything from pick up to drop off so easy. Absolutely would recommend.

I'm very happy to have discovered PK safaris. They are equipped with everything needed for amateur and professional photography. Every safari is a photo opportunity. It is so important the guides understand how to handle the vehicle for best light, anticipate what the wildlife will do next, and is helpful with both small and large needs. I always choose PK Safaris. Bernard is a top photographer. He will help you with your cameras and anything else. We are now planning our fouth photo trip with him - this time to the Kalahari.

We have just come back from a fantastic 3-day photo safari through the Kruger Park with Hennie and Bernhard. What an experience! The trip was postponed a number of times due to Covid but this was no issue for B1 Photosafari. As an inexperienced wildlife photographer, their willingness to share their knowledge on how to get the shot (photographically that is) made it easier to go home with a beautiful set images not only of the Big 5 but many other fauna and flora. Their knowledge of the veld was brilliant. The days were long, but full of banter and good humor. A trip that will not be forgotten. To Hennie and Bernhard. Thank you for a great trip, good humor and all your patients. True professionals.

Thank you so much to Bernard and Hennie Bekker for a magical experience in Kruger Park. Their knowledge of the bush and their commitment to ensuring we saw not just the Big 5 (pictured), but also a wide variety of other fauna and flora was amazing. And having two guides instead of one definitely enhances the experience as well as your chances of rare sightings. We spent a particularly memorable morning searching for rhino, following their tracks and analysing their middens(!), before coming across 6 of these most wonderful animals. We left with an understanding of South African wildlife far exceeding our prior knowledge as well as a better appreciation of animal photography. We will definitely be recommending PK Safaris to our families and friends, and are already planning to return ourselves.

These guys were INCREDIBLE. We went on this safari a few years back and one of my biggest regrets that due to life getting busy, and being forgetful, we forgot to leave these guys a review. The fact that I am now coming back to leave them a review nearly 3 years later tells you how thankful we are for the experience this team provided. They clearly have YEARS of experience in the bush and their advanced knowledge allowed them to navigate through the safari strategically and allow us to see all of the Big Five while getting the chance to experience Kruger Park on a roads that seemed less traveled. There were numerous times where we would come up on a potential encounter and see a fleet of safari trucks heading "to the right", but these guys knew what they were doing and we would "take a left" and we would then end up with a primo view/front row seat to an incredible Kruger encounter: and most of the time absent the accompaniment of a fleet of other vehicles. These guys know the bush, and they really put in the effort to make the most of our time there. We were able to get incredible pictures. Truly outstanding service. Thank you!

I have been on many safaris in my life in South Africa but Bernhard has to be the best there is in the business. Not only was he extremely patient with the bunch of us but he is definitely one of the most knowledgeable and informative guides I have ever encountered. The arrangements were perfect, his suggestions impeccable, and he just knows how to enhance your experience. Thank you Bernhard and Hennie for taking the time, trouble and care to ensure our short trip was packed with information, fun and unbelievable sightings. Cannot wait to do it again sometime.
