Huoi Leng – Dien Bien is a mountainous commune that embodies the rich cultural heritage of Vietnam’s Northwest region. Located about 30 km from the center of Dien Bien Phu, Huoi Leng is known for its breathtaking landscapes, peaceful villages, and stunning terraced fields. Visitors can explore the traditional lifestyles of the Thai and Hmong ethnic groups and participate in community-based tourism activities, immersing themselves in the simplicity of local life. Before lunch, we ascend deep into the mountains of Muong Cha, reaching 1,200 meters above sea level on a rocky plateau to explore an untouched cave. At 12:00, we enjoy lunch with a traditional Xa Phang family, who have called this remote area home for generations. Afterward, we continue northeast across the stony plateau toward Tua Chua.
Tua Chua – Dien Bien Phu is a district located in the western part of Dien Bien province, renowned for its majestic natural landscapes and the diverse cultures of ethnic minorities. With an average elevation of 1,200 to 1,500 meters above sea level, Tua Chua enjoys a cool climate, making it ideal for ecological tourism and nature exploration. The district boasts many attractive tourist spots, such as Pha Luong Peak, Muong Nhe Valley, and traditional villages where visitors can learn about the culture and customs of ethnic groups like the Thai, Hmong, and Kho Mu. 07:00 - breakfast at the family home before heading out Ride north, winding through the rocky plateau and small ethnic villages, heading toward the majestic Black River. From there, we continue on to the remote mountains of Ta Phin and Sin Chai. As we climb higher, we traverse breathtaking scenery at every turn, passing through more pine forests and secluded hamlets. Finally, we arrive at a remote homestay by the Black River, accessible via a suspension bridge and nestled among stunning karst rock formations.
Ta Phin – Dien Bien Phu is a commune in Tua Chua district, famous for its wild natural beauty and rich culture of ethnic minorities. Located at an altitude of about 1,200 meters above sea level, Ta Phin possesses lush green valleys, rolling hills and beautiful terraced fields. Coming to Ta Phin, visitors not only admire the majestic scenery but also have the opportunity to learn about the life and customs of the Mong and Thai ethnic groups, along with unique traditional handicrafts. With fresh air and peaceful space, along with wild and beautiful waterfalls, Ta Phin is an ideal destination for those who want to escape the hustle and bustle of life and immerse themselves in nature.
Dien Bien Phu
After rest and lunch, we continue your trip. At 13:30, we visit an ancient tea tree plantation to learn about the tea heritage from the family that has preserved this area for several generations. After covering 60 km, we arrive at Pa Phong by 16:00, where we will spend the night beside the Black River and an iconic suspension bridge. Here, you can take a swim, try stand-up paddleboarding, explore a nearby waterfall, or simply relax in the stunning scenery. At 19:00, enjoy a family dinner and an evening of cultural experiences in a small Dao community along the Black River.

At 07:00, savor a delightful breakfast at the family home before embarking on our adventure. By 08:00, we set off southward, traversing a prehistoric landscape where the roads may be rough, but the breathtaking scenery more than compensates for it. After covering 20 km, we pause at 09:00 to refresh ourselves in this enchanting, lost world. At 10:00, we embark on a 2-kilometer walk through the magnificent Chua La Cave, where stunning rock formations and dramatic chambers await exploration.

11:30 - picnic lunch by the tranquil hidden waterfalls of Tuan Giao. Tuan Giao – Dien Bien is a district in the northern part of Dien Bien province, known for its stunning natural landscapes and the rich cultures of various ethnic minorities. With its hilly terrain and cool climate, Tuan Giao is ideal for adventure tourism. Visitors can explore attractions like Mường Pồn Waterfall, lush tea hills, and traditional villages of the Thai, Hmong, and Kho Mu peoples. This destination offers a perfect blend of breathtaking scenery and cultural experiences, making it a must-visit in Northwest Vietnam.

At 16:00, we will visit a private coffee plantation, where you can savor the rich flavors of freshly brewed coffee, learn about the intricate processes behind its production, and even sort the beans yourself. After covering 55 km, we’ll return to Dien Bien Phu by 17:30, allowing time to rest and refresh at the hotel. As the day winds down, join us for a heartfelt farewell family dinner at 19:00, celebrating the joyful adventures and unforgettable moments we've shared together.
