Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After an early morning breakfast, we set off with a picnic lunch for a short drive to the park offices, where we receive a briefing from local guides and trackers about the etiquette of gorilla trekking. We then hike into the forest to the location where gorillas were last spotted, beginning our tracking from there. The terrain is rough and muddy, requiring good physical fitness. Though the hike is challenging, the beauty of the forest and surrounding scenery make it worthwhile. Be sure to bring plenty of water for the trek. Cameras and high-speed film are recommended. As it is a tropical rainforest, rain can occur unexpectedly, so waterproof clothing, including zip-lock bags for cameras and film, is essential. Other recommended items include sturdy hiking boots, long pants, gloves, and a raincoat. The maximum time spent with the gorillas is one hour.

My wife and I had an amazing 3-day trip to see the gorillas with Emmkamp Tours. Everything was well organized, and we truly enjoyed every moment. Our guide, Daniel, was fantastic—friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience even more special. The highlight was, of course, the unforgettable encounter with the mountain gorillas in Bwindi. Emmkamp Tours made our adventure smooth, exciting, and memorable. Highly recommended!
