5.00I wanted to do the loop with a smaller group and have my own room. At my age, I have no desire to be in a dorm with 20-something year olds. That’s why I chose this specific tour. We stayed for 2 nights at the Serenity Bungalows in Dong Van, and it was perfect. My group was a small group with a total of 5 people including myself. Our ages were 19, 28, 30, 47, and 55. Quite the range but we all the same idea. Have fun, but not party and drink until 2am. Our easy riders were all excellent. Tony, the leader of the group, was the only one who could speak English. Our easy riders drove in a safe, responsible, and professional manner. Every night, they went back to the hotel to go to bed and ever did I see any of them get drunk. I couldn’t say that about other companies, whose drivers I saw getting wasted out on the town. So I was very thankful that our drivers were responsible. There’s no point talking about the sites we saw on the tour because you can YouTube that. My only complaint is the food. The dinner that was provided both nights was hot pot in the same restaurant, which basically meant we had the same meals for both dinners. I love hot pot but this hot pot was very mid. Also, the lunches weren’t great either. They were group meals but unfortunately they lacked in quality. I wish we could have chosen where to go or at least what kind of food we wanted. There’s so much good food in Vietnam but we got that instead which was disappointing to me. But it seemed all the Ha Giang loop tours feed the customers this kind of food. If you want a chill tour, private rooms that are a few steps above the midgrade stuff, this is the one. Don’t hesitate to book.

5.00The tour was beautiful. The drivers were super friendly. The stops were very nice with a beautiful view/landscape. The room in Dong Van were very nice. Also the food was very delicious throughout the trip! On the last day we sat on the bike for a relatively long time, one or two more stops would not have been bad. But overall the tour was a unique unforgettable experience and we can only recommend it!
